She enjoys her walks (she’s great on a leash!), playtime with her toys, and being around kids and other dogs—she really is a social sweetheart. Lowkey also knows her basic commands and is eager to please, making her an easy addition to any family. I’m Ginger! I’m a beautiful 2-year-old Shepherd mix. My journey to Big Dog Ranch Rescue began when my former family couldn’t afford the care I needed while I was battling parvo. Thanks to the incredible team here, I’ve made a full recovery and I’m healthy, happy, and ready for my forever home! I’m an excellent walker on a leash and one of my favorite things to do is strike a pose for the camera! I just know I was made to be a star! I’m playful, smart, and very treat-motivated, which makes training fun and easy. I do get a little excited when I see other pups on walks or through fences, so I’ll need a family who can help me channel that enthusiasm with patience and consistency. The good news is I learn quickly, and with the right guidance, I’ll blossom into a well-mannered walking buddy. I absolutely love swimming, running, playing fetch, and silly games of tag. Aspen & Her 9 Puppies Aspen and her nine precious pups have a truly remarkable story. Our medical manager, driving home after a long day, spotted Aspen looking distressed with her belly hanging low. The compassionate young lady stopped, and Aspen immediately came right up to her. She was brought to Big Dog Ranch Rescue, and the very next day, the team returned with Aspen to search for her babies. Following their devoted mom, they were led straight to the pups, and soon the whole family was safe and sound at the Ranch. Since arriving, Aspen and her pups have been receiving all the medical care, love, and attention they need. Aspen is relieved to no longer have to worry about food and shelter for her family, and her pups are thriving in a safe, nurturing environment. Together, they are growing into a happy, healthy, and loving little family, ready to show the world just how special they are.
