Story
Leggs is a resilient 32 pound, 10 month old pup working hard to become part of the world around him. While he’s naturally timid because he was feral the first three months of his life, he’s been bravely approaching new challenges and turned into the most amazing dog at home. Leggs is very intelligent and sensitive. He’s a bit cuddler and loves wrapping himself up in a blanket and hunkering down with his soft toys. He’s fantastic on a leash and incredibly gentle with myself, my children, and other dogs (including my super senior). He is crate trained, goes to the door when he needs to go potty, leash trained, and doing well on basic obedience and threshold training. He’s done well on trips to the park, long-leash walking on nature trails, and trips to pet-friendly stores such as Petco. His perfect home would be one that understands his initial need to decompress. After that, you can expect the most loyal and intuitive companion. He is not a fan of cats so no kitties please. Leggs is being fostered in Texas but can be transported out of state. You can apply directly for Leggs by clicking the Apply for Adoption button on the linked page. https://www.shelterluv.com/embed/animal/FODS-A-835 All our dogs come with 30 days of free post-adoption support through Petcademy.org. This benefit includes free access to Petcademy's team of trainers/behaviorists, as well as access to online materials that will help you settle your new family member into your home. You can text unlimited questions to Petcademy and they'll respond within 24 hours (Monday-Friday).

Story
Larry is an approx. 3 years old Dutch Shepherd mix who weighs approx. 52 lbs. Larry is a certified dork. A professional goofball. He does not sit — ever. Not for treats, not for manners, not for anyone. Instead, he prefers the full-speed, run-you-over-at-100-mph greeting approach. It’s bold. It’s enthusiastic. It’s very Larry. He is also a big fan of giving kisses using all of his teeth, directly on your nose, ear, or mouth. Personal space is not something he believes in. Now let’s talk about the love of his life: Mabel. His wifey. His soulmate. His everything. They met in boarding after we rescued them and somehow — despite the fact that Mabel famously does not like other dogs — she fell head over heels for Larry and his goofy self. They are inseparable. Larry is also best buds with Teddy and enjoys playing with Prissy, but Mabel only tolerates Teddy and is not accepting applications for any additional members of their thruple. Boundaries have been set. Larry and Mabel are bonded and will not be separated. Honestly, two dogs are better than one anyway — especially when one is the brains (Mabel) and one is… Larry.

Story
Larry (Zero Brain Cells, 100% Heart) 🐾😎 Larry is 3 years old and has been with us since November 2023, when we rescued him off the urgent list at the shelter. And listen… this dude has style. The brindle coat? On point. The one ear that never commits? Iconic. Those big brown eyes? Dangerous. Common sense, however? Absolutely not included. Larry is a certified dork. A professional goofball. He does not sit — ever. Not for treats, not for manners, not for anyone. Instead, he prefers the full-speed, run-you-over-at-100-mph greeting approach. It’s bold. They met in boarding after we rescued them and somehow — despite the fact that Mabel famously does not like other dogs — she fell head over heels for Larry and his goofy self. They are inseparable. She is the Rose to his Jack… except she absolutely would not let him on the door either after the ship sank. Sorry not sorry. 📍 Located in Cleveland, TN 🚗 Transport available to other states 💲 Adoption fee: $150 total If you’re looking for love, laughs, chaos, and a built-in rom-com duo — Larry and Mabel are ready to steal your heart. 🐶❤️🐶

Story
Cub is one year old. He is very sweet and gentle. After we got him we ended up having some changes in our life and we have not been able to give him the attention he needs. Being a Dutch Shepherd he needs lots of stimulation and activity. He is crate trained. I would say he is good with bigger kids just bc of his size. He has never been aggressive but he has knocked over our 7 year old and can be too playful for smaller kids.

Story
From Chain to Change 💔➡️💛She spent most of her life tied to a chain… watching the world go by, longing for freedom, comfort, and companionship. Her days were small, limited to the length of cold metal and the ground beneath her paws. But not anymore. Now she runs. She splashes. She plays.Since coming into our care, this sweet girl has discovered what it truly means to be a dog. She has friends to romp around with, soft places to rest her head, and a pond that she absolutely loves. Watching her race toward the water with pure joy is something we’ll never get tired of.The chain is gone. The loneliness is gone. And in its place? Freedom, friendship, and a whole lot of happiness. She is finally living her best life — and we are so honored to be part of her journey. 💕To adopt this pet, please go to hsnwga.org, 'Adoption' then 'Application for Adoption', to complete an online application to be preapproved. Sabre is a big handsome boy with an even bigger smile. He loves to play frisbee, playing in a pond or water and being with his person(s). He would do great with an active family with older children and does well with medium to large dogs. A fenced yard where he could run, play ball or frisbee would be the perfect back yard for this big boy. Sabre has learned how to sit and is willing to be trained to be the best companion for you. He comes in at almost 70 pounds, but he still thinks he is a lap dog.
