He keeps his kennel clean, knows sit, and is currently working on down—he’s smart and eager to learn! Hi, I’m Burt — your future oversized best friend and certified goofball. 2.5 years old | Shepherd/Hound mix | 95 lbs of love   If you’ve ever dreamed of having a gentle giant who looks at you like you’re the best thing in the universe…that's me! I’m known for my big, goofy smile and even bigger heart. I’m house trained, well mannered, and full of personality. I’m also a bit of a talker, I love expressing my thoughts & being the center of attention! I showed up as a stray, so my past is a bit of a mystery. But one thing is clear:I absolutely LOVE humans. I’m affectionate, playful, goofy and bond deeply with people close to me.   I’m truly a great dog, I'm just looking for a home without other dogs, cats or any small animals! I'm a natural hunter at heart. I can be friendly with other big dogs in passing and short introductions, but I think I'd do best as your one and only. I recently went to foster-to-adopt home with another big dog, but I think I prefer my own space.   But here’s something pretty amazing:My adoption fee is COMPLETELY sponsored by Joe’s Hope Foundation in honor of Deb Ogle, which means my future family can take me home for FREE!
