Story
Hi, I’m Burt — your future oversized best friend and certified goofball. 2.5 years old | Shepherd/Hound mix | 95 lbs of love   If you’ve ever dreamed of having a gentle giant who looks at you like you’re the best thing in the universe…that's me! I’m known for my big, goofy smile and even bigger heart. I’m house trained, well mannered, and full of personality. I’m also a bit of a talker, I love expressing my thoughts & being the center of attention! I showed up as a stray, so my past is a bit of a mystery. But one thing is clear:I absolutely LOVE humans. I’m affectionate, playful, goofy and bond deeply with people close to me.   I’m truly a great dog, I'm just looking for a home without other dogs, cats or any small animals! I'm a natural hunter at heart. I can be friendly with other big dogs in passing and short introductions, but I think I'd do best as your one and only. I recently went to foster-to-adopt home with another big dog, but I think I prefer my own space.   But here’s something pretty amazing:My adoption fee is COMPLETELY sponsored by Joe’s Hope Foundation in honor of Deb Ogle, which means my future family can take me home for FREE! If you’re looking for a loyal companion who will make you laugh, make you feel loved, and make every day a little brighter… come meet me. I’m so ready to be someone’s big love.   Neutered, Heartworm & Lyme negative, and up to date on vaccinations and preventatives.    Interested in meeting and possibly adopting? Please start by filling out an application here: https://www.fultoncoanimalcenter.org/application-to-adopt-a-dog   Once we receive your application, a staff member will review it and contact you to schedule a meet and greet. If you already have dogs at home, they must attend the meet and greet as well.   If it’s a good fit, you may be able to take your new best friend home the same day! We also offer a 2-week foster-to-adopt trial period to ensure it’s the right match for everyone.   Adoption Hours Monday & Saturday: 11 AM – 4 PM |Tuesday & Friday: 11 AM – 5 PM |Wednesday: 11 AM – 6 PM | Thursday & Sunday: CLOSED ##2521397##

Story
Maya is a very sweet and loving dog and shes very smart. She constantly needs to do something or she becomes very destructive which is why I have to rehome her. I cannot afford to keep replacing everything that she has chewed up. This is very difficult for me. I want her to be and a loving home. I have a kennel for her as well.

Story
Where did you acquire your pet? I got him from a shelter. How old is your pet? He is about 2 years old. What are you looking for in a new home? I’m looking for a patient, responsible home that understands large-breed dogs and can give him the time he needs to warm up. A home without other big dogs would be ideal, but he does great with cats and smaller dogs. I want him to go somewhere stable, safe, and loving where he can feel secure and build confidence. What adjectives would you use to describe your pet? Skittish at first, loyal, gentle, smart, playful, sweet, and protective in a calm way.

Story
Stella is a 5-year-old German Shepherd we got from a local breeder. She was recently diagnosed with inflammatory bowel/IBS and we are unfortunately unable to afford the cost of her medication and new dietary needs. We would love for her to find a home where she can get the medical care that she deserves as well as a home that is familiar with her breed and will be able to keep up with her activity level/needs. Stella is sweet and loves to be around people and she is great with kids (she is definitely protective of our kids). Overall, she is one of the best German Shepherds I have met and we would just love for her to find a home perfect for her.

Story
I'm Lulu and although I'm an older girl I still have lots of love to give. I would be best in a home that's nice a quiet. I love to be pet but in my older years I wouldn't want young children climbing on me. I am a good girl on the leash and am potty trained. I love my blankets and will take it from you so I can put it just how I want it. Please come meet me and consider me in your home for my final years. I promise that I will show you all the love!Give the shelter a call at (574) 267-3008 or email them at info@awlwarsaw.com if you have any questions about me! If not, stop by the shelter at 1048 S 325 E in Pierceton, IN 46562 to look at me! No appointments necessary!
