She adores them. &#226&#156&#133 Dogs? Instant besties. &#226&#156&#133 Kids? She belly-crawls just to be close to them—it’s beyond precious. We believe she’s a Dutch Shepherd mix, weighing in at about 45 pounds, with a gorgeous, sleek coat and a heart that beats for human connection. We post our available dogs in states across the East Coast and Canada to reach as many people as possible in hopes of finding perfect homes and families. We do not transport dogs — families must come to the rescue in Sebec, Maine to meet and, hopefully, take home their new best friend. MY ADOPTION FEE WILL BE WAIVED 12/08-12/14!Jewel is a pretty girl who has had a rough go of it. Now she finds shelter life stressful and transitions difficult. Once she knows you, you are her forever best friend and she becomes sweet and cuddly. This dog will really lean in for pets. And she is a kisser! Jewel hopes you like to walk because she has beautiful leash walking manners that she would like to show off. Or, she will show you how she can entertain herself with a tennis ball or a fuzzy toy. Jewel is hoping for an adopter who will start off keeping her world small and predictable as she settles in. While Jewel would prefer not to live with another dog, she enjoyed living with children in her previous home. And she could possibly live with a cat, using a slow introduction. This good girl is looking for a loving home where she can finally become the wonderful dog we know she is. Do you think she is the dog for you?
