Story
Please welcome 3-ish year old Dutch shepherd, Bella, to the SSS family. A Good Samaritan rescued her from living in a car with a little dog and a homeless person with a drug problem. Bella was severely underweight when she was rescued. The Good Samaritan took Bella to the vet for shots and a dental and just recently had her spayed. Bella is currently in a foster home with little dogs and has been around children with no problems. If you think you can give Bella the life she so deserves, please fill out our online application to start the process.

Story
Meet Pistol: The Miracle Pup Pistol's journey began when she was born in a crowded shelter. Luckily, we were able to save mama and ner two siblings at just one week old righr before they were all euthanized due to lack of space. At around four weeks, her foster family noticed she wasn't as mobile as her siblings, suspecting swimmers syndrome. Further examination revealed that Pistol's hips weren't developing properly, and the vet recommended euthanasia due to the severity of her condition. However, Pistol's rescue family refused to give up on her. We opted in to give her more time and re-evaluate in a couple months. Through our unwavering dedication and with the help of an orthopedic consultant, Pistol defied the odds. Eight weeks later, she emerged as a little miracle, with her hips miraculously aligned and her mobility restored. Though she's still at risk for hip dysplasia, Pistol is now ready for a committed forever home that understands the potential challenges ahead. She is ready to go home now. Pistol's future family should be prepared to manage and treat any potential hip dysplasia as she continues to grow. They must commit to putting her on hip and joint supplements for life and understand that she cannot be spayed until she is 12 months old to maximize her growth hormones. Her spay expense will be covered by our rescue once she is of age at an approved SNARL vet. Despite her medical hic-up early on, Pistol is a bundle of energy and affection. She adores other dogs and people alike, making her ideal for a home with other pets to grow and learn alongside. However, her slight food aggression will require training and patience from her new owners to address while she's still young. We suspect because she wasn't able to get around as well as her siblings early on, she developed this food aggression as a defense mechanism when she had to work to finish her food before they took over. Ideally, Pistol would thrive in a single-family home with a yard where she can run and play to her heart's content. If you're ready to welcome this spirited pup into your life and provide her with the love and care she deserves, apply to adopt Pistol today at www.snarllv.org.

Beretta will be read to go home 2/3! Berreta is a beautiful and sweet girl. She absolutely loves her humans. You could say she's always on your hip. She is great with other dogs and will run around the house or yard as much as you will let her. She is still learning manners when it comes to food. Berreta needs an active family that will put in the time to train her properly.
