Story
Meet Sasha! 🌟 At just 3 years old, Sasha has already overcome so much. She was picked up by Franklin County in April after being hit by a car on I-670, suffering pelvic and hip fractures. But this brave girl didn’t let that stop her! 💪🐾 She’s fully healed and runs, plays, and enjoys life to the fullest. Sasha’s a spayed German Shepherd with a big heart and a big personality. She’s smart, protective, sometimes silly — and absolutely devoted once she bonds with you. She loves a good game of tug, chasing Jolly balls, and keeping watch over her yard like a true Shepherd queen. 👑 Her foster mom says Sasha has come a long way with patience, structure, and training. She’s working with trainer and learning that the world isn’t such a scary place. She needs someone experienced who understands the strong, loyal spirit of a GSD. ✅ Crate trained ✅ Great in the yard with a secure fence ✅ Sweet, affectionate, and hilarious once she trusts you 🚫 Best in a home without small kids or small animals Sasha’s perfect match? Someone who loves the Shepherd energy — confident, consistent, and committed to her continued growth. 🐕‍🦺💛 Trainer Brian has even offered to help with her transition and continued training for her adopter! If you’re ready to open your heart and home to a loyal companion who’ll give you her all, Sasha is waiting. 🏡💖

Needs special attention,
Story
Malinois lovers sought! Okra is a petite gal who is looking for someone to keep her busy and engaged while also nurturing her soft side. Okra was picked up as a stray by the dog shelter but never claimed. Although very nervous/anxious in new situations, Okra passed her temp test with flying colors at the shelter and presented for her spay only to be found to be heartworm positive, thereby derailing her potential for adoption. She was moved to our care for a prolonged treatment process and will be ready for adoption soon however keeping her in a foster home instead of a shelter environment was needed to maintain her mental sanity, hence why she is in our care. Okra is a busy and anxious gal when not engaged with her people so a family who is able to make her part of their daily activities is ideal as is someone who wants an active partner for exercise and adventure! More info coming soon once she completes her treatment but feel free to reach out with questions in advance if you are considering Okra as a potential new family member. Okra requires a home that will keep her on monthly preventives 12 months a year. Primary Color: Black Secondary Color: Brown Weight: 52.125 Age: 2yrs 7mths 1wks

Story
Meet Costata! This sweet little girl recently came to us as a stray, and we are still getting to know her. Costata is a shy girl and i quite nervous in the chaotic shelter environment. Her ideal home will give her the time and space to open up as she decompresses from her shelter stay. Costata has done okay with other dogs. She may take a little time to warm up, but once she is comfortable with you she is the sweetest girl that will follow you everywhere! If you have other animals in your home, we recommend bringing them in to do a meet and greet before taking Costata home. If you are interested in meeting Costata, please submit an adoption form on our website: fairfieldcountydogs.com and we will contact you to arrange a time to visit.
