Story
Miss Aberdeen was unfortunately brought in as a "stray" by her owner. We are unsure as to why they felt the need to drop this sweet girl off, but we have been told that she is potty trained, good with cats, and loves children. Once she's settled in and things are a little less exciting she is ready to cuddle up right next to you. Aberdeen is pretty fearful of men, and would likely prefer a more quiet home without many male visitors. Aberdeen can be picky about her dog friends and would likely do best in a home where she could be the only pup. Don't let that stop you though, this sweet lady is ready for a life outside the shelter where she can soak up all the love and affection you have to offer. If you have other animals in your home, we recommend bringing them in for a meet and greet before taking Aberdeen home. If you are interested in meeting with Aberdeen, please submit an adoption form on our website: fairfieldcountydogs.com and we will contact you to arrange a time to visit. Story
You can fill out an adoption application online on our official website. Online Adoption Application › Meet Zara! This stunning dog could be a super-model if only her tongue wasn't hanging out the side of her mouth all the time. Zara is the sweetest goofy brown-eyed beauty who will melt your heart with her affectionate puppy love, kisses, and cuddles. She is literally a hugger and gives the best of them. It will take her all of one second to quickly become your shadow and loyal sidekick. She is very playful, highly energetic, and absolutely loves to chase squeaky balls. She would thrive best in an environment where she has space to run and exercise as she has a lot of energy to burn (as most shepherds do.) She enjoys belly rubs, reward treats, and car rides although she most likely will want to ride shotgun... or maybe even just drive the car. Baths are not her favorite, but she obliges until the daunting task is over. Zara is friendly with other dogs but is a bit of a barker and sassy with them at times and likes to be up in the action. She would do well in a household with other dogs or without. The other dogs would just need to be accepting of her over-zealous disposition. Zara will make the best companion for a household and be your best buddy. Let's get her where she belongs. Apply Today! Story
You can fill out an adoption application online on our official website.Harmony is a two-year-old Belgian Malinois/GSD/mix. She was saved from a horrible situation and it is now back to her normal weight and trying to heal emotionally. Harmony is potty trained and will let you know when she needs to go outside. She loves her toys and she loves to play ball. She would do best in an active household without young children and without cats. She would do best with another playful or easy going dog.   Harmony should be with someone who is mostly home at first. She does well in her crate while someone is in the house and she does OK in the house when she is alone but in the crate and alone causes her anxiety. She trust most females but needs to warm up to some men. She should have slow introductions to all new people while she learns new socialization skills.  Harmony needs someone who is patient while she is healing from her abuse. Once she knows that she is safe with you, she gives her whole heart and wants nothing more than to snuggle up beside you, go for a run, play and play and play with her toys, and even crawl under your covers to sleep.  She is super smart and knows basic commands and is very food motivated so continued positive only training would be wonderful for everyone. If you think that you can love Harmony forever, she will gladly return your affection.Visit this organization's web site to see any additional information available about this pet.April 15, 2024, 12:01 am

Story
Adira was found running at large in Memphis and was subsequently brought to a veterinary clinic by a kind MPD Officer. She was severely emaciated and scared. “Addie” as she has come to be known, quickly made herself at home at her Foster’s farm while she gained weight and recuperated. She is now around 65 pounds and estimated to be 2-3 years old. Addie loves to play ball, go on long walks through the woods, run, ride in cars, and snuggle. She is wonderful for baths, tolerates nail trims, and more than anything, just wants to be anywhere her human is. Although she is high energy when the opportunity presents itself, Addie would make a suitable apartment dog for someone who works from home. Her foster family works from home and she spends the entire workday snuggled on her bed beside her foster mom while she works. Addie is kennel trained, but she is a large dog and would not be suited for kenneling all day while family or individual works. Addie will do best with an active lifestyle and plenty of time for play. She does need to be the only dog as she is an alpha female and does not share her humans or her territory. Addie is deeply loyal and very protective. She is friendly to new people if her person is friendly to them. Once adopted she will travel via private transport Rescue Vet (transport cost is $160.00) to a location closest to you. Story
Hi! Zelda is a purebred 1yr old german shepherd. WORKING LINE!!! She has been through extensive training since day one. Her bloodlines are imported from the Czech Republic.(grandfather is Idoll z jkorva Dvora). I initially adopted her to become a service dog, but her temperment does not do well with that. She has been through training with Off leash k9 in columbus. This was a 4K dollar service. She has a youtube video that I can send to you if interested. It goes over what she has learned. The reason that I am rehoming her is because she needs to be in a home that has a lot of work for her to do, preferably a farm. Since she doesn't do well with service work, she needs somewhere else to be active. She does well with other dogs and cats are iffy. she likes to annoy them a lot. 600 is her rehoming fee or your best offer. Her fee covers the training she has been through. Zelda is spayed and is due for her next shots this month. Contact me for more information.

Story
Hello! This sweet guy is looking for a new home. I got him from a breeder recently, so he doesnt have a name. Unfortunately, Im unable to keep him since he doesnt seem like the type to want to do service work. All sales are final with the breeder, so I couldnt bring him back. I have health issues and cannot keep multiple dogs and Im in dire need of a service dog. He was from a farm and grew up in a barn for 5 months so he is working on late socialization, potty and crate training.Doing great in those areas except for some slight separation anxiety. Other than, he is the sweetest German shepherd Ive ever had. Super gentle with other dogs, puppies, cats, etc. No aggression with resources. One thing is that he is super lazy and loves to nap. He even eats and drinks lying down after some mild exercise. When I first got him, he was very scared and shy, so that may happen at the start. Parents pictured at the end. Dad is not a mix, just a two tone liver GSD.
