Whether he's enjoying playtime, exploring the yard, or spending time with his people, Dax approaches every day with enthusiasm and joy. Dax recently returned to our rescue through no fault of his own. His family experienced significant life changes and made the difficult decision to ask for our help finding him a home where he can truly be part of the family. They loved him enough to make sure he would have the opportunity to find the right fit. Some of our longtime supporters may remember Dax by his original rescue name, Bear. He was part of the second class of our STAR Inmate Training Program when it first began, and he excelled from day one. That intelligence and eagerness to please are still very much a part of who he is. Dax is a smart dog who enjoys learning and loves making his people proud. Dax has successfully lived with other dogs and children and has experience being a beloved family companion. He knows what it's like to be part of a home and is ready to find that connection again. If you're looking for a loyal, fun-loving dog with a great personality, a solid training foundation, and lots of love left to give, Dax may be the perfect addition to your family. Some of the male dogs here I like to bark at alot to prove that I'm wayyyyyy tougher than them. I really do enjoy people and getting affection. Hi , my name is Roadie and I am a super sweet pup who loves EVERYBODY ! I walk well on a leash and am working on my potty training. I don't mind any of the other dogs here at the shelter and would probably get along with most of them because I'm so friendly. When I first got here I had some serious road burn on all four of my paws because someone drug me with a car , can you believe that ? The nice people here have taught me that not all people are bad and helped me to get better. I do still have some road rash on my feet but it is getting better everyday.
