Dax recently returned to our rescue through no fault of his own. His family experienced significant life changes and made the difficult decision to ask for our help finding him a home where he can truly be part of the family. They loved him enough to make sure he would have the opportunity to find the right fit. Some of our longtime supporters may remember Dax by his original rescue name, Bear. He was part of the second class of our STAR Inmate Training Program when it first began, and he excelled from day one. That intelligence and eagerness to please are still very much a part of who he is. Dax is a smart dog who enjoys learning and loves making his people proud. Dax has successfully lived with other dogs and children and has experience being a beloved family companion. He knows what it's like to be part of a home and is ready to find that connection again. Kyle first came to us as a puppy and was adopted when he was just a couple of months old. Now, at just over a year old, he has found his way back to us—and it’s clear he missed out on a lot of the things that make puppyhood special.Kyle is still learning the basics. He is working on his commands and manners, and he’s making progress every day. When he first came back to us, the leash was so frightening that we had to carry him everywhere—even to the play yard! He is all things sweet and gets incredibly excited when his people come to see him. He loves attention, loves to play, and simply wants to be part of the action.
