Story
Leggs is a resilient 32 pound, 8 month old pup working hard to become part of the world around him. While he’s naturally timid because he was feral the first three months of his life, he’s been bravely approaching new challenges and turned into the most amazing dog at home. Leggs is very intelligent and sensitive. He’s a bit cuddler and loves wrapping himself up in a blanket and hunkering down with his soft toys. He’s fantastic on a leash and incredibly gentle with myself, my children, and other dogs (including my super senior). He tries to play with cats, but also respects their space. He is crate trained, goes to the door when he needs to go potty, leash trained, and doing well on basic obedience and threshold training. He’s done well on trips to the park, long-leash walking on nature trails, and trips to pet-friendly stores such as Petco. His perfect home would be one that understands his initial need to decompress. After that, you can expect the most loyal and intuitive companion. Leggs is being fostered in Texas but can be transported out of state. You can apply directly for Leggs by clicking the Apply for Adoption button on the linked page. https://www.shelterluv.com/embed/animal/FODS-A-835 All our dogs come with 30 days of free post-adoption support through Petcademy.org. This benefit includes free access to Petcademy's team of trainers/behaviorists, as well as access to online materials that will help you settle your new family member into your home. You can text unlimited questions to Petcademy and they'll respond within 24 hours (Monday-Friday).

Story
Murphy is a small happy bundle of fun! He is a beautiful brindle color. He is full of love and joy and loves company and attention from his humans. Murphy did not have a great start in life and came to us from the streets where he roamed. He walks on leash, sleeps in a crate and is a sweet, good, deserving boy! He does have some jumping ability so will need a decent sized fence for backyard. Murphy is: Good with older kids (too high energy for littles unless closely supervised, he will knock them down with his love). Good with dogs. (Should do meet and greet for any other furry household members) Cats: Seems to want to play too hard for cats. Too excited with them but not mean. I’d love to see someone adopt this little guy and show him love for the rest of his life!

Story
We regret to have to rehome our beloved Groot but he deserves a more active lifestyle, with a baby we cannot support the life he needs. He is a good boy who loves people and just hanging out. We hope a loving person will bring him to a large open field or yard and play with him all the time

Story
Zero came into my life at a time when I didn’t even realize I needed him. I wasn’t really looking for a dog, just scrolling one day when I saw this little face that instantly caught my attention. Something about him felt different like he already belonged to me before we even met. When I finally went to see him, he didn’t bark or act wild like the others. He just looked at me, calm and curious, like he was choosing me too. From that moment, it was a wrap.Bringing Zero home felt natural, like he had always been part of my world. He adjusted quick, learned my routines, and became my shadow. Whether I’m having a good day or a rough one, he’s right there loyal, real, and always in my corner. He’s more than just a dog; he’s family, a reminder of how the right connection can find you when you least expect it. I’m leaving to Korea soon and just need to rehome him to a great loving caring home.

Story
I am Sax and I'm fast as heck! I am an all around good boy and I love to play. I have SO much energy! I love toys and treats and I love people. I'm good with dogs who match my energy and don't mind me being super happy about everything! I am kennel trained but I hate the kennel. I am house trained and once I have a schedule I pick up on what I'm supposed to do very quickly. I'm a quick learner but sometimes you have to remind me of my manners. I would do best in a home with no cats because they love to run and though I would never hurt one, I want to chase them. I love little kids but I'm always on the go and I tend to knock them over on accident so bigger kids that will play with me would be a better match for me. I need a home that understands my breed and will help me getting my energy out or keep my mind occupied. I would be a great hiking or jogging buddy! Do you want to take a run with me? If so please go to adoption.poundpupandfriends.org and fill out an adoption aapplication for me.
