Drake is a friendly, loving, cuddling, high-energy dog who loves to play fetch and splash in water! He’s great off a leash and can catch balls out of mid air. He is curious outside, but will come when called (even if he trots out the front door). We took him to dog parks, Yard Bar, on hiking trails, Zilker and have a daily ball-launcher fetch routine! If you’re looking for a dog to go exploring with who will plop his head in your lap in the evening then Drake is your dog! Sadly, I just got divorced so I feel guilty about how little I get to take him out, and my five young kids aren’t good about reading his body language and would very rarely get nipped at if they were jumping on top of him (though he’s typically very patient). If you adopt him, I can throw in a large steel crate toys and gear to play fetch with!

Maximo is one of those dogs who has us all scratching our heads as to why he is still in the shelter. Not only is he beautiful with his dark brindle Shepherd coat, he walks great on a leash and is friendly to everyone he has met. He is a wonderful dog who would make the perfect companion for so many. Maximo sadly lost his owner a year ago and was lovingly taken in by a family friend where he spent 10 months living happily in an apartment. Unfortunately, the friend was moving out of town and unable to take sweet Maximo with him - that is how he ended up at the shelter scared and confused.Outside of his kennel, Maximo is a young, gentle, laid back guy who loves to go for walks, taking in all the sniffs, and will happily self entertain with toys. While he is a pretty independent guy, not demanding a lot of attention, he will gladly come over for some nice pets and a little cuddle session. Maximo has gone on a few outings with his shelter besties and has proven to be an excellent car passenger.Maximo has previously lived with kids and we believe he could live with another well matched dog. Maximo would love a home where he can get lots of exercise and have a cozy place to sleep at night. Come meet this easy, happy go lucky guy today!

Teresa is such an affectionate girl! She loves being close to her human friends, seeking out their petting and belly rubs. Every morning she wakes up and if her foster dad is on the couch she snuggles into his chest to get petting - and purrs almost like a cat! This energetic girl warmed up very quickly to her dad's other foster dog. She loves playing chase and tug-o-war with him most of the morning and playing with her squeaky toy. Then she'll lounge in the grass and go indoors to nap under a bed. Teresa also loves going for walks. She can be excited to see people, dogs, big trucks, and vans and may woof at them. But she mainly likes sniffing around, rolling in the grass - and wishes she could chase lizards and squirrels. She can take a while to become comfortable with new people she meets but will settle down and become their friend. At home, this confident girl is very treat-motivated and already understands basic commands, such as 'sit.' She does well when her foster is away from home, free-roaming and sitting by the front door or looking out the window. And she is house-trained. Teresa will love a home with pet parents who can continue her leash-walk training, taking her out for those walks she enjoys. She also will have fun with a doggie playmate. She may prefer a home with just a few visitors since she takes some time to warm up to them. Do come meet her. When she does warm up, she'll purr like your kitty!
