Story
...S`mores was picked up by Animal Control on Goethals Drive in Richland. He currently weighs 60 pounds, is neutered, and is ready to go home today!Just like the campfire treat he`s named after, S`mores is looking for a place where he can finally feel warm, safe, and at home. As a newer arrival to the shelter, we`re still getting to know his personality, but we`re excited to learn more about him each day as he settles in.At 60 pounds, S`mores is the perfect size for someone looking for a larger companion to share life`s adventures—or even just a quiet evening relaxing together after a long day. Every dog deserves a family who sees their potential, and we can`t wait for someone to come discover what makes S`mores special.Since S`mores came to us through Animal Control, his history with other dogs or cats is unknown. Slow and proper introductions are always recommended when bringing a new pet into the home.S`mores` adoption fee is $50. He is neutered, microchipped, up to date on age-appropriate vaccines, and treated for fleas, ticks, and worms. Our shelter operates on a first-come, first-served basis. Holds, deposits, and pre-adoptions are not allowed, and as a stray-intake animal control facility, animals may transfer to other shelters or rescues at any time.Come meet S`mores today—you just might find he`s the missing ingredient your family has been looking for!

Story
...Let`s be honest: Professor has a HORRIBLE kennel presence. If you didn`t know better, you`d think there was a 200-pound guard dog with a personal vendetta against you waiting behind that door! His bark is big, loud, and impressive enough to make your knees tremble. If you`re looking for a dog who can make people think twice about coming onto your property, Professor has the intimidation factor covered! But here`s the funny part: once Professor is out of his kennel and hanging out with people, it`s like someone flipped a switch. The scary guard dog act disappears, and he turns into a pretty typical German Shepherd—a loyal, loving boy who enjoys being around his people.Professor can definitely be intimidating at first, but don`t let his kennel theatrics fool you. Underneath that booming bark is a sweet boy who just needs a chance to show you who he really is.Professor is neutered and ready for adoption! His adoption fee is $50 and includes his neuter, microchip, age-appropriate vaccines, and flea and tick preventative.Come meet Professor and see if you`re brave enough to make it past the kennel door and discover the sweetheart hiding underneath all that drama!
