Story
Oh my goodness, where do we even begin with this girl? Everyone who meets Jenny June falls head over heels almost instantly. She has that undeniable charm that just pulls you in and once she’s got you, there’s no going back. She truly checks every box, and then somehow adds a few bonus ones. And those big brown puppy dog eyes? They’re the kind that stop you mid-sentence. Soft, warm, and almost teddy-bear-like, they make you feel like you’ve known her forever. Watch her video and see for yourself how sweet she is: https://youtu.be/fLCgzfpZrOI?si=A36wpqdIRDeKryk- Jenny June is believed to be a Pittie mix approximately 2 years old and currently weighs 48 lbs. She is a rescue dog and with any rescue, it's always a mystery and we cannot guarantee breed or age. Jenny is as sweet as they come, and despite being fully grown, she carries herself like a forever puppy. She has that youthful sparkle, that playful curiosity, and that irresistible puppy face that makes you want to scoop her up and tell her she’s perfect (because she kind of is). She loves deeply and wholeheartedly and once she bonds with you, you suddenly have a built-in adventure buddy, professional couch snuggler, and the newest star of your camera roll. She may be a little shy when meeting new people or stepping into new environments, but give her just a few minutes and you’ll see her blossom. Before you know it, she’s handing out kisses and leaning into you for affection. Jenny has spent time around children as young as four and showed a beautifully gentle, patient nature. While she handled the excitement of little ones well, we think she’d truly thrive in a home with slightly older kids who can match her softer spirit. When it comes to other dogs, Jenny is a social butterfly. She has participated in playgroups with dogs of all sizes and personalities and absolutely thrives in that setting. A good game of chase is one of her absolute favorites, especially when her dog friends are right there running alongside her. She shares toys kindly and even shares affection without a fuss. While she’d be happy as you're one-and-only, we would love to see her paired with another moderately playful pup who enjoys a balance of backyard zoomies and relaxed downtime. Jenny also had the opportunity to meet our house cat, Biggie, and she handled herself beautifully. She was respectful, curious but calm, and never attempted to chase. Biggie felt comfortable enough to go about his usual cat business without concern. While we can’t say for certain whether she has lived with cats before, her first impression was a great one. If you have a feline family member, we’re happy to coordinate a kitty sleepover to ensure it’s the perfect match. Energy-wise, Jenny has that wonderful “just right” balance. She enjoys leisurely neighborhood walks where she can take in all the sights and smells, and she’s just as happy curling up beside you afterward for some quality couch time. She walks nicely on a leash with minimal pulling, is treat motivated (a girl after our own hearts), and already knows how to sit. She is both crate trained and potty trained, making her an easy addition to the home. At the end of the day, Jenny is simply a gentle, loving, well-rounded girl who is ready to find the people she can call her own. We are willing to test Jenny June with anything you need in order to ensure it's a perfect match. We can make anything happen! Just let us know. Ready to welcome a new furry friend into your life? **THIS DOG IS NOT IN THE CARE OF THE ALTERNATIVE HUMANE SOCIETY. THIS IS A COURTESY POST. PLEASE CONTACT KOTA'S OWNER DIRECTLY AT kaylahbrown01@gmail.com  THANK YOU** Meet Kota Kota is about 5-ish years old and is looking for a fresh start with the right person or family. He’s a rescue himself, and while we don’t know everything about his past, we do know he’s a loyal, intelligent boy who bonds closely with his people. Kota has primarily been kenneled and will likely need patience and guidance as he adjusts to spending more time out and building confidence in a home environment. He does okay with other dogs when introduced slowly and properly, and he can coexist with cats. He’s also done well with kids and babies, showing a gentle and tolerant side in family settings. Handling? No problem there. Kota does fine with baths and nail trims, which makes grooming much easier. He’s a smart dog and previously received police-related training before being rescued, so he’s very alert and aware of his surroundings.Because of that training, Kota is especially sensitive to certain environments. He does not do well around active drug use or heavy alcohol use and has reacted protectively in a few instances when people under the influence got too close while out walking. For this reason, he would do best in a stable, calm home with a confident, experienced owner who can provide clear structure and avoid those triggers. Kota isn’t a “drop him in any situation” kind of dog — but in the right home, he has the potential to be an incredibly devoted and protective companion. He’s looking for someone who understands that rescue dogs sometimes come with a story… and who’s willing to give him the safe, steady life he deserves. ##2666463##

Hi! My name is Quinn and I am available for adoption!I am a friendly, energetic young man looking for an active family. I love playing with stuffies and will roll over and entertain myself with them. My caregivers say it is pretty cute. :) I love to have an `emotional support stuffie` to chew on hand. It helps me keep my mind busy and chewing helps me calm down.I am very eager to please and walk nicely on leash.I am affectionate and like to lean in for pets. I can, however, be a typical aloof shepherd when first meeting. I can spook easily when meeting new people, so please take things slow when getting to know me and introduce me to the world.I am a member of RASKC`s playgroup pals! Ask staff if you would like to know how I interact with other dogs! When meeting new dogs in a home it is always best practice to do introductions slowly.I am a large breed dog and I weigh about 76 lbs.You can visit me at the Pet Adoption Center on weekdays from 12:00 pm to 5:00 pm, Saturdays and Sundays from 12:00 pm to 4:00 pm.The Pet Adoption Center is located at 21615 64th Ave S, Kent, WA 98032.Come and visit me today, I would love to go home with you!

Story
FOSTER OR FOREVER HOME NEEDED Meet Juno! Juno is a 5-year-old, 60 lb Shepherd mix who came to us as a stray from an overcrowded shelter. With his stunning brindle coat and soulful eyes, Juno may look a little intimidating at first glance ~ but he’s truly a sweet, loving, and loyal boy once you get to know him! Juno bonds deeply with his people and loves being out and about with his handler. He would make an excellent adventure companion for someone who enjoys an active lifestyle. He’s affectionate, eager to be close to his person, and may even jump up for an enthusiastic “hug” when he’s excited to see you. Once Juno chooses his person, he’s all in. He’s a smart, eager-to-please dog who thrives with structure and consistency. Juno already knows sit, down, and his adorable “happy spin” at mealtime, and he would do great in a home that wants to continue working on training while providing both mental and physical outlets. Juno walks well on leash and enjoys getting out for walks and exploring. He would do best in a standalone home with a fully fenced yard (no apartments or condos) where he has space to decompress and move freely. When it comes to other dogs, Juno can do well with canine companions, especially with slow, thoughtful introductions. He has made dog friends and enjoys playing, particularly with larger female dogs, which tend to be his favorite match. He could also be happy as an only dog. An adult-only home or a home without young children (and no cats) is recommended, as Juno is strong, enthusiastic, and still working on some manners. Juno has so much love and loyalty to give ~ he’s just waiting for the right person or family to see what an incredible dog he truly is! Juno is UTD on vaccinations, microchipped and neutered. His adoption fee is $400.

If you are not in the position to afford a puppy/dog but still want to be an important factor in dog rescue, we recommend fostering. Fostering ensures you incur no vet bills and no boarding fees while saving a life and enjoying the love of a canine companion. We are always in need of good fosters. You can sign up to foster at this link: https://shaynesrescue.com/foster-application/ This is a post on behalf of Pet Central SATX Rescue, headquartered in San Antonio, Texas, where there are over 350,000 homeless pets. We have hundreds of puppies/dogs available so there really is no need to apply anywhere else. Also, one application is good even if you are interested in several different dogs...one application no matter which one you choose. Thank you for choosing to adopt a rescue pup/dog. We firmly believe there is NO breed other than "rescue" for all species. Thank you for being part of the village it takes to save these precious lives.

Story
We’ve had Lou since she was 3 months old. We adopted her from a shelter in Moab, Utah and she has been a great dog. She is mild-mannered and affectionate with her people. She is obedient and has never chewed any shoes or furniture, and is potty-trained. She responds well to commands, and is her best self off leash getting to roam trails, always coming back when called. She’d be a great companion if you like hiking and backpacking. We’ve taken her to the dog park 2-3x a week since she was a pup. She is friendly with other dogs. Always done well in boarding and staying with families with other dogs. We love her, but being a young family on the move, bringing her along is now too difficult for us. The right new home for Lou would be one where she has a yard to roam, and a loving family to provide stability for her to be her normal sweet self.
