Story
The best boy and a friend to all!
Born on 7/23/26, Kostos is a Husky/German Shepherd mix puppy with black fur, white chest markings, and bluish eyes. Kostos and his eight siblings of the Sisterhood of the Traveling Pants litter came to us from Adams County Pet Rescue (ACPR). We expect Kostos will be a large dog when fully grown, and he is already winning hearts with his goofy antics.
Large, clumsy, and extremely sweet, Kostos is all gentle giant and just the best boy. He loves everyone, from kids to adults to other dogs. Kostos is so happy to see you; he pins his ears back and wiggles his entire body in greeting. He delights in playing with the other dogs in his home. A favorite game is to stalk his furry siblings (something he picked up from watching his older foster brother Koa) as part of their play. For down time, he enjoys watching TV, intently (no two screens for this guy). Kostos is a happy go lucky pup content to be the center of your world or happy to share space with another dog. If he has loving people in his life, he is good to go!
While a mellow fellow, Kostos is also a smart pup eager to learn. He enjoys a regular schedule in his foster home, and he is practically potty trained. He sleeps seven hours a night, is learning his basic obedience commands, and progressing well in his leash training. Kostos is well behaved in his crate, and he is very treat motivated. He’s a growing boy and will carry his food bowl around in his mouth, walking around to let you know politely that he would welcome some more kibble. Did we mention he is the best boy? If you are looking to add some cuddly, laid-back energy to your home, Kostos might be the pup for you.

Ready to adopt? Now what?
Please take 3-4 minutes and complete our application form at: www.lilaccitypupproject.org. Our adoption team will spring into action! You will have a phone call conversation with a dedicated adoption counselor, and the adoption team will contact your vet(s), if applicable. Once you have been matched with a dog, a meet and greet will be set up and take place at the foster family's home. After the meet and greet, there will be a home inspection and in-home trial prior to adoption finalization.
Lilac City Pup Project is entirely volunteer and foster run, with no kennel facility. Only approved adoption applicants will be able to meet our dogs outside of adoption events.
Adoption Donations:
$350 for Puppies up to 9 months
$300 for Adults 9 months or older
*includes spay/neuter, all core vaccinations, and microchip. Your adoption fee may be tax deductible as Lilac City Pup Project is a federal 501c3 organization.

LCPP is always in need of fosters. There is an overwhelming number of dogs who need our help and the more fosters we have, the more dogs we can save. LCPP covers expenses, including food. Fosters provide love and a soft place to crash.
At Lilac City Pup Project we strive to better the lives of vulnerable dogs through rescue, foster, and adoption services; educate dog owners and empower them to build successful human/canine relationships; and support the local community by partnering with shelters facing overcrowding and limited resources.
LCPP is organized exclusively for public, charitable, and/or educational purposes under section 501(c)(3) of the Internal Revenue Code. LCPP is a Nonprofit organization formed in Washington State in April 2025, by passionate dog lovers. One hundred percent (100%) of every dollar goes to furthering our tax-exempt purpose.
