The Captain is ready to "lift your spirits" with his adorable antics!  He is a big, lovable goofball who doesn’t quite realize how large he is—but that just adds to his charm! With his playful personality, kind heart, and unshakable loyalty, he’s the perfect adventure buddy and cuddle companion all in one.Why You’ll Love Him:Obedient and eager to pleasePlayful yet incredibly lovingA little uncoordinated at times, making him extra endearingHousebroken and well-mannered indoorsRides well in the car and walks nicely on a leashThe Perfect Home for The Captain:He gets along well with other dogs, but would thrive with a fellow big dog who can match his energy.  Slow intros are best with those well balance playmates. He’d do best with an active, loving adopter who wants a true best friend for life—someone who will enjoy playtime, outdoor adventures, and plenty of goofy moments together. This gentle giant is very curious of feline friends so he would do best in a home without kitties!Health & Care:Neutered and up to date on all vaccinationsHouse-ready and fine in a walk-in kennel when neededIf you’re looking for a big-hearted, fun-loving dog who will bring endless joy and laughter into your life, The Captain is your guy. He’s ready to be your loyal companion—could that be you?He is wagging his tail and wiggling his butt at just the thought of finding his forever home and his story is just beginning! His next chapter could be with you!Our adoption fee includes transport, all age required shots, microchip, & a health certificate from a licensed veterinarian. Story
Ol' Tami Lynn is a beautiful german shepherd husky type blend hailing from the streets of Spokane. She made her way to Murci's Mission after a short stay in county lock up, but honestly, they got the wrong girl. She's innocent. She's got an estimated birthdate of 06/18/2021, she's approximately 65lbs, and she's the perfect downhome gal.  Tami has no behavioral issues. She's completely turnkey ready and can be in home loose, crated, hanging out with other dogs, or by herself. She is curious and pushy but non malicious with cats. She is shy and aloof with new people and children, but warms up quick with a little personal space provided. She likes going for walks, hiking, car rides, and just being someone's friend. As a bonus, if you yell "TAMI" in a perfect Hank Hill accent, she will pin her ears back for ultra aerodynamic ability and sprint to you with a wild grin on her face.  Tami knows you can take the girl out of the trailer park but you can't take the trailer park out of the girl, and she can't wait to find a house, trailer, caravan, apartment, or penthouse suite of her own with people who love her.  You want that perfect experience bringing home an absolutely sweet and deserving dog from a rescue? Here's your chance.  Tami comes spayed, vaccinated, microchipped and dewormed. Her adoption fee is $200 and includes a leash, collar, ID tag, food sample, medical records, and a complimentary consultation with a behaviorist to help both parties ace the new partnership.  To be considered to adopt, please begin by visiting www.murcismission.org and sending in an application.  ##2770516##

Story
Meet Muffin, a 4-year-old German Shepherd mix with a bright spirit and an even bigger heart! This upbeat girl loves spending time outdoors and is always ready for an adventure. Muffin came to us as an owner surrender and is now looking for a loving home where she can truly thrive. Muffin is an active pup who enjoys being outside, soaking up all the sights and smells around her. Because of a medical condition that makes her eyes sensitive to sunlight, she wears special goggles outdoors to help keep her comfortable and protected. She rocks them like a pro and doesn’t let them slow her down one bit! If you’re looking for a fun-loving, resilient companion to join you on walks, outdoor time, and everyday adventures, Muffin may be the perfect match for you.

Story
I AM EATING 3 CUPS OF PEDIGREE ADULT W/ A PUMPKIN,CHICKEN AND RICE TOPPER Ben is a 2-year-old German Shepherd who is still very much an adolescent in both energy and behavior. While he is affectionate and intelligent, he remains a large, strong, and active young dog who requires consistent structure, ongoing training, and clear leadership. Ben will need an experienced handler who understands high-drive working breeds and is prepared to invest the time and commitment necessary to help him mature. Continued obedience training, mental stimulation, and regular physical exercise will be essential for his success in a home environment. Due to his temperament and training needs, Ben must be placed as the only pet in the household. He would do best in a home with someone who has prior experience managing and training dogs of similar size, strength, and working background. With the right guidance, patience, and structure, Ben has the potential to become a loyal and devoted companion. He is not suited for a first-time dog owner, but in a knowledgeable and committed home, he can thrive.

Story
Mannie’s story starts in the middle of chaos—he was brought in as a stray during the fires, and sadly, no one ever came looking for him. Now, this sweet boy is left trying to figure out a whole new world, and all he really wants… is someone to notice him. We believe Mannie is around 3 years old and possibly a Dutch Shepherd mix. He’s playful, social, and full of life—but also full of BIG feelings. Shelter life has been tough on him. When people walk by his kennel without stopping, he gets loud and rowdy, barking and bouncing just to say, “Hey! Don’t forget about me!” We know that can be a little intimidating—but here’s the part most people miss: the second Mannie sees a leash, everything changes. He settles down, waits patiently, and becomes an absolute gentleman. Out of the kennel, he’s a sweet, eager boy who just wants your attention. He is strong and may pull on leash, but with a little guidance, he’ll thrive. With no known history, we’re learning about Mannie as we go. He seems to do well with other dogs, though we don’t test with cats, and he hasn’t yet met children in our care. After everything he’s been through, Mannie is still holding onto hope—just waiting for someone to give him a real chance. Could that someone be you? 🐶❤️
