Story
Meet Lissy, the runt of her litter and the smartest! When she and her siblings need to be given medicine, she hangs back, when it's time for cuddles, she's the first to arrive, haha. She's learning to walk on a leash, and is usually very active, playful with dogs, cats, and although she's a little shy at first with people, she adapts very well to new environments in a short time. She will be a medium/large size, since she was always the smallest. She loves to look out the window at everything that happens, and if she has a playmate she could spend the whole afternoon playing. She likes balls and rope toys. The $350.00 adoption fee covers the following: Transport to San Diego, CA. Spay/Neuter. All vaccines up to date. Deworming (puppies 2 sets). Flea medication up to date. Tick control up to date. Microchip. Microchip registration to new owner paid for. Collar. Temporary leash. The adoption fee does not include transportation to North of San Diego

Story
Skunk is a smaller male Toy Fox Terrier who is 6 months old. His parents are both purebred Toy Fox Terriers, and while we love all of our dogs dearly, we did not plan for them to have puppies. Skunk is one of the seven puppies we originally planned on keeping, but unfortunately, with our current financial situation, we can no longer responsibly care for all nine dogs. Skunk can be a little shy at first, but once he feels comfortable, he is incredibly joyful, playful, and loving. Because his brothers and sisters are bigger than him, he can sometimes be timid around them. He is very precious to our family, and this decision has not been easy for us. We want nothing more than to find Skunk a loving, safe home where he will be cared for and treated as part of the family. If you decide to give Skunk a new home, we would truly appreciate staying in contact and receiving occasional updates so we can continue to see him grow and follow his life.

Story
Chihuahua / Dachshund mix – Tan Male 1 ½ years 17 ½ pounds Summit is a sweet Chihuahua/Dachshund mix who is still learning that the world can be a safe and welcoming place. He has a difficult history with men and can be very shy at first, so he is looking for a gentle, patient family that will give him the time and space he needs to transition out of the shelter environment. Once Summit feels safe and comfortable, his energetic puppy personality begins to shine, and he’s ready to play, explore, and enjoy life with his people. He is already potty trained, but he does have a history of being an escape artist, so a secure environment and thoughtful management will be important in his new home. With patience, consistency, and plenty of positive experiences, Summit has all the potential to blossom into a wonderful companion.

Story
Chihuahua mix – Red & Brown Male 2 ½ years 11 pounds Squirrel is a sweet and sensitive Chihuahua mix who is still learning that the world can be a safe and welcoming place. He has a difficult history with men and can be quite shy at first, so he is looking for a gentle, patient family that will give him the time he needs to decompress and build trust. Once Squirrel feels comfortable, his energetic puppy personality begins to shine, and as an added bonus, he’s already potty trained! He can be sensitive to excessive handling and will do best with adopters who are familiar with dog body language and can recognize when he needs a little space. With patience, consistency, and the freedom to move at his own pace, Squirrel has all the potential to blossom into a wonderful companion.

Story
Chihuahua / Beagle mix – Tri Color Male 2 years 10 ½ pounds I am currently in a foster home. This sweet Chihuahua/Beagle mix is looking for a patient family to help him continue learning that the world—and the people in it—can be a safe place. He has a difficult history with men and will benefit from adopters who can respect his boundaries, build trust at his pace, and provide plenty of positive reinforcement. On the home front, he’s already potty trained and does well when left home alone, though he’s still working on polishing his leash manners. He’s also a vocal little guy who loves to bark, so a family that can appreciate a pup with plenty to say will be the best match. With consistency, continued training, and patience, he has all the potential to blossom into a wonderful companion.
