Story
Name: Wilma The Brindle Babe 💘 Age: 1 year young Height: Fun-sized Weight: 26 lbs of pure perfection About Me: I’m a brindle beauty with a heart of gold and a serious squeaky toy obsession. I’m sweet, a little shy at first, and definitely more of a “let’s cuddle” than a “look at me” kind of girl. My friends say I’m submissive, easygoing, and drama-free. My Love Languages: 🐾 Squeaky toys 🐾 Belly rubs 🐾 Playtime followed by nap time 🐾 Making dog friends wherever I go Green Flags: ✅ Spayed ✅ Up to date on my shots ✅Housebroken ✅ Great with other dogs ✅ Houseguest material (I aim to please!) ✅ Ready for a forever relationship Looking For: Someone who appreciates a loyal companion, doesn’t mind sharing the couch, and promises to keep a basket of squeaky toys stocked. Bonus points if you tell me I’m pretty (I won’t argue). Swipe right if you’re looking for a lifelong match—because unlike your last Tinder date, I’m actually ready to commit. ❤️🐶

Story
Meet Susye — A Young Girl Ready for a Home of Her Own Sometimes the best dogs have the hardest beginnings. Susye’s second chance began when a Nashville Fire Department EMT realized that the homeless woman caring for her would not be leaving the hospital. He could not bear the thought of this young dog being left with nowhere to go, so he brought Susye home and made sure she was safe. For the past three months, Susye has been living with her firefighter foster dad and his four dogs. She has been a happy, peaceful addition to the family and has settled into home life beautifully. She is crate trained when needed, loves using the dog door, and enjoys spending time in the fenced backyard. Now fully vetted and spayed, Susye is turning 8 months old this month and is ready for a forever home with the stability she deserves. She weighs 43 pounds. We believe Susye may be a Feist, Rat Terrier, or Jack Russell Terrier mix, possibly with some herding breed influence. She is bright, active, affectionate, and eager to be part of whatever is happening. Like many young herding and terrier mixes, she will do best with regular exercise, engagement, and continued training. Although Susye adores her foster dog siblings, they are all older. Her foster dad cannot help but think she would especially love a home with a younger, playful dog companion who can match her energy and enjoy growing up alongside her. Her firefighter foster dad also works 12-hour shifts, and caring for five dogs has become more than he can reasonably maintain long-term. Susye is loved and safe, but this was always meant to be her stepping stone—not her final destination. She would thrive with a family that can give her companionship, consistency, playtime, and plenty of opportunities to use her smart young mind. A securely fenced yard would be wonderful, and another playful dog would be a big bonus. Susye has already experienced more uncertainty than any puppy should. Now she is ready for the part of her story where she belongs somewhere for good. ccrnewengland@gmail.com PLEASE NOTE:   Our dogs and cats are fostered in Tennessee and can transport weekly up to the Northeast region.  Request an application and learn more about Critter Cavalry at https://www.crittercavalry.com/adoption.October 14, 2026, 7:51 pm

Story
This little sweetheart was VERY HEAVILY pregnant when she was surrendered to the pound and she delivered five puppies within a few days of her rescue. She was a great mom and once she weaned her pups she tested positive for heartworms. This sweet girl raised her puppies…just completed her heartworm treatment and has been given a clean bill of health…now she’s ready for a great new life of her own! Sundi is a good girl, she’s sweet, good natured, happy, playful and lots of fun! Check out her sweet soulful eyes and those darling little ears that fold down…isn’t she a doll? I know she would thoroughly enjoy having her own family that will love her and include her in their everyday comings and goings. She gets along great with the other dogs, she does fine around the barn cats and she’s fine with people (adults and kids). Still being a youngster herself, she still has a lot of play in her and really enjoys playing the other dogs in the play yard. Sundi is 19 months old (dob 2/20/25) and weighs about 35 pounds at the time of this posting (9/22/26). She has been spayed, 4DX heartworm tested, microchipped, fecal tested, current on all vaccinations, worming and on heartworm and flea prevention. Her adoption fee is $400. Sundi is being fostered in Tennessee. Once adopted she will be transported to her pickup location by a professional dog transport company. Our rescue ships to the Northeast area most weeks and her fee includes transportation. Due to state laws, we cannot accept applications from residents of Massachusetts, New Hampshire, Rhode Island or Maine since we can’t adopt directly to those states.

He has had no issues with other dogs but aren't sure about cats. He has learned to use a dog door but will need puppy training. He is very energetic when out with others but calms down to be loved. He likes stuffed toys and balls that rattle. He has done well in a crate so that may help with training.
