Story
Meet Dolly, a darling eight-year-old, 13 lb. Chihuahua with the most soulful eyes and sweetest smile. Though she may be a small girl, her personality shines big and bright, making her the perfect addition to any home. Dolly's journey has been one of resilience since she traveled all the way to Connecticut from a high-kill shelter in California! With her soft fur that begs to be snuggled and her gentle demeanor, Dolly is the epitome of a loyal companion. Whether it's cuddling up on the couch for a cozy movie night or accompanying you on leisurely strolls through the neighborhood, Dolly is always by your side, ready to offer unwavering love and companionship. She enjoys basking in the sun, taking long naps in her bed, and sitting in your lap. She’s a very easygoing gal! Dolly is currently flourishing in a foster home filled with five other small dogs, where she delights in the company of her furry friends. She’d love to find a furever home with another small pup. Dolly is both house and crate trained, making her a great fit for any family seeking a well-mannered and loving companion. Despite her past, Dolly's spirit remains unbroken, and she's ready to embark on her next chapter with a furever family who will cherish her for years to come! Her adoption fee is $400 and Dolly is vaccinated, microchipped, heartworm negative, and spayed. She recently underwent a dental cleaning too, ensuring that she's in tip-top shape. We also offer a Senior-to-Senior program so if you’re 60 years or older, you can adopt Dolly for $350. If you are interested in this pretty lady, please complete the application at form.jotform.com/200883908893166. For questions, email info@happilyfureverafter.org.

The cats, she ignores.  Abby would be thrilled to be a purse dog - she loves to go on adventures and loves to be with people - she literally could go anywhere and be happy.  Abby is also completely pee pad trained - and that's what she prefers.  Abby would do great in a family with kids who are "pet-aware" enough to be gentle based on her size - she's very sweet with them.  Or she would make a great companion for a single or senior who may have grand children who stop by.  Either way, she's looking for a best friend and a home to call her own.  As with any new dog, Abby will need time to adjust to her new life and surroundings.  Abby has been fully vetted, received a complete dental exam and cleaning, and is up to date on her vaccines.  Abby has a bit of a wonky back leg - evidently, as a young girl she had an injury to her hip and it wobbles a bit.  After extensive examinations, x-rays, and bloodwork by our veterinary partner, they have found that Abby is in no pain, has no underlying condition, and surgery to fix it would simply put her in unnecessary pain.  They believe she has adapted to the way her hip healed and would not operate or treat.  We concur - she's loving life right now - but still wishes for a home of her own!     Applications can be submitted through https://lgarinc.org/adoption-application/.  Please note that you must be 25 years of age to adopt and we reserve the right to refuse adoption to anyone.  All applications are subject to review and approval and a tax-deductible adoption donation is required to be paid prior to adoption day.   Please note that you must be 25 years of age to adopt and we reserve the right to refuse adoption to anyone.  Please be advised that we will not approve adoptions to persons who mislead or fail to provide accurate information on this application.  Incomplete applications will not be processed. *Name: Pierre*Age: 7-8 years old*Current Weight: 15 pounds*Rescued from: Tennessee*Adoption fee: $300.00*Health: Up to date on Vaccines, Microchipped, Neutered*Adoption requirements: Adopter must be 25 or older Pierre is between 7 and 8 years old. He's a sweet chihuaha/dashund mix weighing about 17 pounds. Pierre is very cuddly and loves his people but does take a bit to trust. He is not a morning dog and likes to get out of bed. in his own time. When he's ready, he walks great on leash. He loves being around people. Pierre would love a house with older children (or no children) and where he is the only dog to get all the attention. He would need a home where his human is home most of the time, as he gets a little nervous when being left a lone. He is not a fan of being left in the crate and prefers the comfort of his human when sleeping. Pierre will need a patient home who will let him come out of his shell in his own time. Currently, Pierre is on medication to help with his anxiety. Can you provide Pierre is perfect home to live out his senior years?!  To apply to adopt this puppy, fill out an application at https://snarrnortheast.org/adopt/.----------------------------------------------------FAQs -- PLEASE READ ALL BEFORE EMAILING-------------------------------------------------------**Please note that SNARR NE is a volunteer-based organization. While our volunteers will try to respond to you as quickly as possible, it is helpful if you review the following information about our adoption process before emailing:**- LISTED BREED(S) & AGE: We are taking our best guess on age, breed, and size when fully grown, based on the puppy's/dog's physical appearance and what we might have learned about one or both parents depending on the situation. *NOTE* We rarely know a dog's exact age, nor are we able to tell the true or full breed mix of dogs as our information is limited most of the time. Because we often do not have access to medical records at the time that we are posting dogs to Petfinder, there are sometimes discrepancies between what is posted on Petfinder and what might be listed on a dog's medical records. Remember, most of the time rescues are all just taking our best guess with breeds!- SNARR'S ADOPTION PROCESS: The first step in adopting or meeting a SNARR dog/puppy is to fill out an application at https://snarrnortheast.org/adopt/. Once we receive your application, one of our adoption application processors will contact you, review our adoption process with you, and answer any additional questions you may have. **We do not go on a first-come-first-serve basis for adoptions, but on best fit for a family and most importantly the puppy or dog.**- MEETING ADOPTABLE DOGS: Meet and greets will not be scheduled until after your adoption application has been fully processed by one of our adoption processors.- APPLYING ONLINE: If you fill out an online application, please do so from a computer (not a mobile device), make sure you answer ALL the questions in as much detail as possible, and that you receive a confirmation email. If you do not receive a confirmation email, that means we did NOT receive your application.- PUPPIES: We do suggest listing a 1st, 2nd and 3rd choice on your application if applying for a puppy with several litter mates.- ADOPTION FEES: $495 for puppies / $375 for adults.
