Blakey is a small black Chihuahua mix with a big personality and an even bigger heart — once you've earned his trust. He's goofy, affectionate, and absolutely devoted to his person, which makes him a truly wonderful companion for the right home. Blakey loves lap time, leashed walks, and making you laugh with his silly antics. He's a loyal little guy who will happily stick by your side and soak up every moment of your attention. That devotion also means he takes his role as your protector very seriously — he can be vocal and is known to resource guard his bed, so he'll need a patient adopter who understands small dog behavior and can work with him using positive, consistent guidance. Even once Blakey loves you, he'll always be honest about how he's feeling. If something bothers him, he won't hesitate to let you know — through his voice or a warning nip. He communicates clearly and on his own terms, and an adopter who respects those signals and responds with patience rather than force will get the very best out of him. Blakey isn't the type to warm up instantly — he needs time to feel comfortable in a new environment, and that's completely okay. With the right person, he blossoms into the sweet, funny, loving dog he truly is. If you have experience with small dogs and the patience to let him settle in on his own terms, Blakey just might be your new best friend.

Story
Sweet Milo is a funny little guy who is very vocal but not a barker. He gets along with other dogs but is not really interested in playing with them*. I do not know if he has ever been around cats. He would be perfectly happy being an only dog. He will be a wonderful companion once he is given a opportunity to adjust to a new home. He doesn't bark but he "talks" like a frenchie. *He went to a new foster home for 2 weeks and really did not do well with the 5 dogs already in that home. So I am thinking he would do better as an only dog in a quiet single person household
