Meet Bailey! Bailey is a 5-year-old Chihuahua mix who has found himself back at the shelter through no fault of his own. Due to his family moving and being unable to take him along, this sweet little guy is once again searching for the forever home he truly deserves. Bailey weighs around 14 pounds and may be small in size, but he has a big heart full of love. According to his previous owner, Bailey is very much a people pup—he loves being with his humans and doesn’t enjoy being left alone for long periods of time. He would do best in a home where someone is around often or where he can get plenty of companionship and reassurance. Bailey is currently settling into a wonderful foster home, where he’s getting lots of love and care. As he decompresses and we learn more about his personality, we’ll be sure to share updates.

Meet Jax — a loyal little Chihuahua mix with a big personality and an even bigger heart. Jax is returning to us through no fault of his own; he just wasn’t the right fit for his previous family. This handsome guy knows what (and who!) he likes, and he tends to bond deeply with one special person. Because of that, Jax would do best in a quiet home with a single woman and no other dogs. Once he feels safe and trusts you, he’s incredibly devoted — the kind of companion who will love you with his whole heart. He can be a bit protective of his person, so patience and understanding will go a long way in helping him settle in. Jax isn’t a “meet once and go home” kind of pup; he’ll need multiple meetings to build that trust. But for the right person, he promises to be a fiercely loyal and loving little shadow who just wants to be by your side.
