Story
Funky – Female Russell Terrier Mix Birthday: June 23, 2025 Current Weight: 10 pounds Health: Healthy, vaccinated, not yet spayed Personality: Funky is a little spark of sunshine wrapped in fur! She’s playful, curious, and brimming with personality. Funky is the type of puppy who greets every day with excitement, wagging her tail at every new face and happily bouncing toward every new adventure. Whether she’s zooming after toys, exploring the yard, or cuddling in your lap after playtime, Funky’s joy is contagious. She’ll fill your home with laughter, warmth, and endless puppy kisses. Breed Info: This mix blends the smarts and high energy of the Russell Terrier with the loyalty and affectionate heart of the Pit Bull. Funky will likely grow to about 30–45 pounds, making her a wonderful medium-sized companion. Expect a dog who is energetic, intelligent, and eager to bond deeply with her family. Owner Responsibilities: Puppies like Funky need training, exercise, and patience. She will thrive with owners who can give her structure, positive reinforcement, and plenty of time to learn and play. Socialization and puppy classes would be a great way to help Funky grow into a confident adult dog. Things to Consider: Puppies are a lot of fun—but also a lot of work! Funky will need potty training, guidance with manners, and chew-safe toys during teething. She’s a commitment, not just for now but for the next 12–15 years. Commitment for Life: Funky deserves a forever family who will love her through puppyhood, adolescence, and beyond. Adopting her means embracing her whole journey, through the silly moments and the snuggly ones alike. Vet Care: Although Funky is starting out healthy and vaccinated, she will need continued boosters, routine care, and spaying when the time comes. A visit to your own vet soon after adoption is a must. Why She’s a Great Addition: Funky is the type of puppy who brings life to a household. She’ll keep you smiling with her playful antics and melt your heart with her sweet snuggles. She’s not just a pet—she’s a future best friend, family member, and source of unconditional love.   If you are interested in adopting this amazing dog, please follow the link https://www.ozzieandfriendsrescue.org/adoptions and fill out an application  Thank you for choosing Ozzie and Friends Rescue. Story
Meet sweet and happy Timmy! This adorable mix (Chi? Pomeranian? Spainel? these and more?) charms everyone with his glossy black coat and soulful eyes. He’s approximately 1 years old and about 18 pounds.    Timmy has been in a foster home since mid-December and has settled in nicely. He has been a delightful and fun houseguest and all around good guy. He quickly picked up on a potty schedule and is house trained! Such a good boy! Timmy gets along well with his bigger foster sister. They play on occasion and then contentedly nap near each other. He loves to go on walks and sniff all the things outside. Timmy needs a secured backyard as he has proven himself able to squeeze through very small openings. He hasn’t been too interested in hanging outside alone, he prefers to go out and do his business and then be inside with his people. That said, his personality will continue to emerge as he gets more comfortable. Timmy is interested in other dogs while out walking, and is excited to meet new dogs. As a young pup, he and his owners would benefit from force free training and socializing classes.  He hasn’t proved to be much of a barker in the house, but is learning to bark at the door from his foster sister. As like most dogs, Timmy wants to chase squirrels or anything moving fast, so cats in the home might not be ideal. He has not been tested with kids either, though would likely be fine with respectful, dog savvy kids. Timmy is a young dog and loves to chew on his toys. If there aren’t toys to his liking available he will chew something else (we didn’t like that phone charger anyway).  Timmy would love a home that will continue with positive training, take him on walks, let him sleep on the bed and snuggle up for movies. He wants to be included as part of the family and would not thrive being left alone all day. Are you the perfect home for this darling super smart boy?   Underdogs are spayed/neutered, microchipped, and up to date on vaccinations and preventatives. Adoption fee is $390.  Timmy is being fostered in SE Portland. You MUST have an Underdogs Rock Rescue application on file to request a meet with an Underdog. An online Underdogs Rock adoption application can only be accessed at  https://underdogsrock.org/adopt-a-dog. You must be available to meet an Underdog in their foster's location and dogs are not held for applicants or shipped outside of the Portland metro area. Home checks are also part of the process and will be conducted virtually. Story
Buffy is perhaps the cutest, super buff little lady ever! She was a bodybuilder in her past life for sure. She loves other dogs and is currently fostering with multiple pups and humans too. Buffy was VERY shy of humans and would hide away, but now she likes to hang around and even sleep in a human bed. She is ready to start receiving affection soon but has been hands off for the most part. Buffy needs a patient savior to be her roommate and eventually her BFF! She is spayed and vaccinated. If you are interested in Buffy and would like to give her a try, please contact colleen@startrescue.org Her adopter will need immediate access to a secure yard straight from their back door, AND another dog to help show Buffy the way! Buffy is 1.5 years old.
