****ADOPTION APPLICATION HERE*** Hi, my name is Ducky! My siblings and I were dropped off at a local kill shelter because my old parents said they didn’t want puppies. We weren’t given much of a chance to make it since we were so young and the shelter was not really equipped to handle tiny babies. The ladies there were so nice and saw that we were fed and watered and kept warm and then called CARE. CARE took us in and now we are doing great -running playing and can start looking for our forever home. I’m a 4 pound Chihuahua mix who is just turning 8 weeks old. I am happy loving and excited to start my new life. To find out more information on this dog please apply to adopt on our website at www.caretx.org/adopt and CARE will be in touch with you ASAP! This dog was rescued from a kill shelter or the streets and has been evaluated for medical and temperament to prepare for a forever home and is in a foster home in San Antonio, Texas* and is ready to fly to its final destination once adopted. The adoption fee of $995 covers age appropriate vaccinations, microchip, health certificate, kennel that it travels in and air transport. Please email adoptions@caretx.org * CARE rescue is in San Antonio, TX where we have a serious pet overpopulation situation. CARE is a non profit 501c3 rescue that has been saving lives for over 14 years and with your adoption, we can help save even more deserving urgent adoptable pets! We fly our pets to approved adopters all over the US, especially in low kill and no kill markets where there is a demand for rescue pets!

Oh hello! My name is Fox! I came to Animal Aid when my people were unable to provide me with as much time and attention as I needed. I really enjoy being with my people so this was hard for me. They also had a baby I wasnt a huge fan.A few of my favorite things are sunbathing, lots of cozy beds to curl up in (I also love sitting on your lap!), squeaky & puzzle toys, leisurely strolls in the neighborhood when I get to sniff everything, and I cant forget about tasty treats! Beef liver is my favorite, yum! Larger dogs make me nervous but with proper introductions, I do enjoy hanging out with small to medium sized dogs and Ive even lived peacefully with cats. I would prefer a home without any kiddos but would be happy in a home with another similar sized pet and a home where my people are home more often than not. Another great thing about me is Im pretty quiet! Ill bark to let you know someone is at the door but other than that, I dont have much to say. I do have some separation anxiety and prefer to not be crated but dont worry, I am not destructive! Due to my anxieties, I also prefer that you go slow with me. I might take a little bit to warm up to you but once I do, Im sure to be your best friend. I'm in a foster home so if you would like to be meet me please fill out an adoption application at www.animalaidpdx.org.Estimated DOB: 3/19/2015 Weight: 11lbs

🐾 Meet Prancer! 🐾 Hello! I'm Prancer, and I might be the sweetest dog you'll ever meet. Once I find my forever person or family, I never want to leave their side, showing unwavering loyalty and affection. I'm currently flourishing in my foster home. I'm mastering both potty and crate training and making excellent progress! Although I have cerebellar hypoplasia, which means I wobble a bit when I walk and can seem uncoordinated, it just adds to my unique charm. I may be shy when meeting new people, but I warm up quickly and genuinely enjoy their company once I get to know them. I live with an adored human foster sister, which proves I'm fantastic with kids. My demeanor is calm, sweet, and gentle, and I don't get overwhelmed easily, making me a soothing companion. If you're looking for a loving, loyal friend who will fill your days with joy and your heart with love, I am the dog for you. Prancer is ready to find a loving home where he can continue to thrive and share his gentle spirit. Story
Chance is an adorable, super soft, playful, fully potty and crate trained 5 month old puppy! He’s probably mixed with a small breed dog because he is only approx 17 lbs. He loves to cuddle up with his foster mom, go for car rides, and explore the yard. He also loves to play with toys or with other dogs, or follow you around as your pal. See his cute personality here: https://youtu.be/xS4xXo02rb8?si=rmApxcLy1rdV8Uhg One of his siblings had a DNA test done and it came back as mostly Chihuahua and pitbull. We think he will remain small medium size for the rest of his life. He’s the perfect little pocket size. Chance loves to play with toys and with other dogs. He likes to take a bone into his crate and he is very crate trained. Chance is potty trained! He has very good house manners. He will bark in his crate if he really needs to get out to potty. He's not hyper but has a good energy level. He’s willing to spend plenty of time cuddling on the couch. Chance Is very adored in his foster home. He can be somewhat shy when new people come over, but he does warm up quickly. Especially if there are treats involved! He does not live with any cats currently, but we could picture him being fine with them. He has a super soft coat, and he seems to be very healthy. He is fully vetted, microchipped, vaccinated, and neutered! We could see him in apartment life or condo life if still given ample opportunity to explore and meet new people and stay socialized. Tiny sniffs out love wherever he goes! Tiny Wonder is a two year old, male, tan and white chihuahua mix. Tiny loves making new friends. Tiny has some vision impairment, but that does not stop him one bit from being our social butterfly. Like his namesake Stevie Wonder, Tiny navigates his world with grace and spirit, despite his vision impairment. Tiny lives with two foster dog brothers. He follows them around, loves to play tug-o-war or chase, and snuggles right up into the pack for nap time. He also does great with cats! He typically avoids cats (mainly because they are bigger than him)! Tiny is a friend to all - he even says hello to cows through the fence! Tiny's cutest traits: - His absolute adoration for head pets - The way his back feet look like they're skipping when he runs - His cuddly nature Tiny is crate trained, but normally sleeps peacefully on the couch every night. He is potty trained, and even uses the doggie door on his own all day! His favorite toys are a stuffed avocado toast and a plushy octopus. Tiny is such a big bundle joy in a little 10lb body and he is ready to find his loving family. 🐾 Meet Violet! 🐾 Introducing Violet, a delightful two-year-old petite Chihuahua mix. Violet has flourished in her foster home, where she's proven to be potty and crate-trained. This little lady is the epitome of affection, a lover at heart. Violet enjoys snuggling up in a cozy shirt or blanket, a must for keeping warm given her tendency to feel the chill—a common trait among Chihuahuas! Her foster parent can't say enough good things, describing her as "hands down the sweetest girl." While still new to the world of play, Violet is starting to discover the joys of toys. Watching her learn and engage with her new playthings is a heartwarming sight. She's also making great strides in leash walking, adapting quickly, and showing how smart and eager to please she truly is. Violet is excellent with other dogs, all people, and children, making her an ideal companion for almost any home. Her gentle nature and quick learning ability prepare her to join a loving family where she can continue blossoming. Violet is the perfect match if you're looking for a sweet, loving soul to add to your family. Ready to experience endless love and companionship? Her goofy antics will keep you laughing, while her cuddly nature will warm your heart. Bettyboo is a quick learner who's always up for a new adventure. She's friendly with everyone she meets except for cats. She wants to be friends but comes on a little too strong with her enthusiasm. Best to not be in a home with cats. At the end of the day, Bettyboo loves nothing more than curling up for a good cuddle. With her sweet nature and infectious energy, Bettyboo would make the perfect addition to any home. She's ready to be your best friend, your confidante, and your source of endless laughter. Don't miss the chance to make this wonderful girl a part of your family. Let me introduce you to Milo, an eight year old Chihuahua mix at 16.5 lbs. Milo loves walks above anything else, except food. He does well on a leash. He gets along well with all dogs I have seen, (although he often will bark at them), and my two cats. Milo is active and does some half jumps that might be too much for small children.Milo has been an easy going, cuddly, house trained dog. His expressive face goes from curious to hopeful to excited and joyful. It has been a real pleasure to have this guy around. He should be ok in an apartment, as long as he receives some walks everyday and is with people for most of the day. He does have an odd leg (Luxating Patella) but it doesn't slow him down, He just lifts it up and runs around 3 legged. If you would like to meet Milo please fill out the application on OFOSA.ORG and his foster mom will contact you.

MEET TOM! This adorable male chihuahua needs a home! Tom was rescued from a California shelter where he was brought in as a stray. He has a sweet and lovable personality but is a a bit shy at first. With a little patience he will warm up quickly, and he is very affectionate and sweet. Tom is also quiet and mellow and will make a wonderful addition to a loving person or family. Tom is about 8 years old, very healthy, neutered, vaccinated and he had a dental. He weighs about 12 pounds. Please email for an application.

Story
Harriet and Muffin came to OFOSA together, as strays from the Central California area. Since they were strays, nothing is known about their background. Harriet is about 20 pounds They are not technically a bonded pair (not raised together or related ), but they are VERY good friends. I think they would love to be placed together, but it is not a requirement. Both of them are starved for affection and food. Although they are quite polite when eating around other dogs, which is unusual. It's best not to leave your food where they can reach it. Their tails are wagging constantly. They are quite friendly with other dogs, especially new ones. I am a pet sitter, so someone new shows up almost every day. They both LOVE to chew up anything they can find, so dog-proofing your place is essential. I cannot emphasize this enough. I would personally crate them if you were going to be gone for an extended period. Harriet has to be persuaded to go into her crate but is fine after she is inside. She potty-trained; no accidents in the house at all. She is not a big barker. She should be fine in an apartment. She need some serious training in walking on a leash, Harriet likes to try to wrap her leash around your leg several times. Both of these girls are sweet and would love to find their forever home, together or separately. To meet Harriet please fill out the application on OFOSA.ORG and the foster mom will be in-touch.
