Meet Cookie -- mama of the Christmas Cookies litter! This sweet mama came from a dire situation, where her life was being threatened. Animal control stepped in and worked to find a rescue to save her. She and her 7 babies are with us now, happy, healthy and loved. We're so glad we could get her out of that horrible place -- and now it is time to find loving forever homes for her and all of her babies. She is such a sweet, grateful girl. Cookie's puppies are weaned now and she'll be spayed soon and ready for her forever family to find her. She is sweet with all people and seems to get along find with other dogs and cats. She has not had any house breaking accidents in the puppy house or kennel. She is petite -- although she weighed 37 lbs at the vet the other day, we had been estimating her weight to be 28-32 lbs because she looks smaller. Although the vet estimated her to be about 2, she acts younger and we believe this was her first litter of puppies. So maybe she is closer to 18 months -- we can't know for sure. Name’s Kevin, and I reckon I might just be the smallest German Shepherd this side of Nashville, Tennessee… trapped in a Chihuahua/Terrier body. Don’t let my size fool ya—what I lack in height, I make up for in heart, grit, and a whole lotta personality. Quick Facts: Age - 7-months old Kids - will do fine with kids Dogs - great with other dogs Cats - probably no cats 1. At 7 months old, I’m still a young buck, full of curiosity and charm. 2. I’ve got a funny little bob-tail that wiggles faster than a tumbleweed in a windstorm, and a coat that looks straight outta the German Shepherd handbook. I’m startin’ to think I might be an undercover deputy from the Shepherd ranks—just disguised in a compact package! 3. I get along mighty fine with other dogs, and I’d fit right in whether you’re livin’ in a ranch, apartment, condo, or townhome—I’m not picky about my corral. 4. I’m still workin’ on house and crate trainin’, but I’m a quick learner if you’ve got some patience and a few treats up your sleeve. 5. I’ll need a good ol’ dose of obedience trainin’, but partner, once I learn the ropes, I’ll be your most loyal sidekick on every adventure. 6. So what do you say, cowboy (or cowgirl)?
