Meet Cookie -- mama of the Christmas Cookies litter! This sweet mama came from a dire situation, where her life was being threatened. Animal control stepped in and worked to find a rescue to save her. She and her 7 babies are with us now, happy, healthy and loved. We're so glad we could get her out of that horrible place -- and now it is time to find loving forever homes for her and all of her babies. She is such a sweet, grateful girl. Cookie's puppies are weaned now and she'll be spayed soon and ready for her forever family to find her. She is sweet with all people and seems to get along find with other dogs and cats. She has not had any house breaking accidents in the puppy house or kennel. She is petite -- although she weighed 37 lbs at the vet the other day, we had been estimating her weight to be 28-32 lbs because she looks smaller. Although the vet estimated her to be about 2, she acts younger and we believe this was her first litter of puppies. So maybe she is closer to 18 months -- we can't know for sure. Cookie loves people and plays great with other dogs. We think she would be great with children as well. She's such a sweetheart. Cookie and Tiny are a bonded *we think* set of Chihuahua's that are fairly new to BR. Cookie is the larger one at around 8lbs and fairly tall, and Tiny is smaller at around 4lbs but needs to maybe gain a pound or so. They are both recently spayed and neutered and since that time Tiny's obsession with Cookie has abated a bit so we are now not 100% sure that they have to be together-but they come from the same home and get along great so it would be ideal for them to be together! They can bark at strange men especially but did great with our male vet and seem to calm down after spending just a brief amount of time with them. Cookie especially is a kisser and loves to love on people-awwww! They are becoming better with other dogs now that they settled a bit and as the hormones go out of their system we hope that will improve even more. Tiny was a marker when we first got him but that is definitely diminishing! Cookie can be vocal when left so would not do good in an apartment setting.March 3, 2026, 3:31 pm
