Story
This puppy is in Tennessee. Adoption Donation $250 if picked up in TN, $325 plus transport fee for out-of-state adoptions. Meet Cooper, a 5.5-month-old Mountain Feist mix with a touch of German Shepherd charm and a heart full of resilience. Weighing about 16 pounds, this sweet young boy is already showing what a devoted and affectionate companion he will become. Though his energy is currently on the mellow side as he continues to regain strength, his playful spirit is beginning to shine through more each day. One of Cooper’s most delightful traits is his adorable prance—he steps so gracefully he looks like a tiny horse in a dressage ring. Add in his happy little smile, and you have a puppy who melts hearts wherever he goes. He absolutely loves affection and cuddles, and it didn’t take long for him to start seeking out love and attention. Despite a difficult start, Cooper’s ability to trust and bond with people remains beautifully intact. He is crate trained and sleeps quietly through the night. He is housetrained and will thrive with a bit of supervision as he adjusts to a new routine. Cooper already sits politely for his meals, walks nicely on leash, and is beginning to explore toys and discover the fun of playtime. He gets along well with other dogs and is curious but respectful around cats. Cooper would do best in a home with a fenced yard and older children, where he can continue building confidence and polishing his manners. With consistency, patience, and love, this gentle boy will blossom into a loyal, joyful companion who never stops being grateful for his second chance. Interested in adopting? Prior to adoption, all canines and felines are spayed or neutered, have received their age appropriate vaccinations, have been de-wormed for common parasites, and have received treatment for prevention of fleas and ticks. All canines over the age of 6 months have been tested for heartworm. All canines are put on heartworm prevention as soon as possible - this means dogs as soon as they are tested negative. Puppies are put on prevention immediately. All felines, regardless of age, have been tested for Feline Leukemia/FIV. Each animal receives a health check by a licensed veterinarian prior to adoption. Anything else found will be treated by our organization prior to adoption. March 6, 2026, 6:01 pm
