She is settling in beautifully and showing everyone what a gentle, affectionate, and easygoing dog she is. Now that she’s here, Julie is ready to find an adopter who will give her the love and stability she deserves. Meet Julie Julie’s story is one of quiet resilience and heart. This sweet 2–3-year-old “Georgia Brown Dog” came into the shelter as a stray, and while no one ever came looking for her, it’s clear she was once loved and cared for. She has wonderful manners and a natural ability to connect with people, making her feel like she’s always belonged. Since arriving in Wisconsin, Julie has been friendly, affectionate, and eager to please. She truly loves people and gets along well with other dogs. She greets everyone like an old friend and settles in easily wherever she goes. Julie already knows basic commands such as sit and shake, and she enjoys any chance to be close to her people. Her adorable curly tail never seems to stop wagging, especially when she’s getting attention. At around 36 pounds, Julie is the perfect medium size and would fit beautifully into almost any home. She has an adaptable, easygoing nature and would do well in either an active household or a more relaxed environment. She is the kind of dog who brings a sense of calm and comfort wherever she goes. Julie’s potty training, crate training, and leash manners are still being assessed as she continues to settle into her new routine, but she has already shown that she is eager to learn and very responsive. Story
Bobble is a 7-month-old puppy full of energy, curiosity, and love! He is making great progress with potty training and is working on crate training and leash manners. Bobble gets along well with other dogs and has done nicely with the foster cats in his home. He’s mostly happy and playful, with a love for fun and games that never seems to quit—playing is definitely his favorite activity! Bobble does get a little overly excited around food. It seems he hasn’t always had consistent access to meals, so he eats with enthusiasm, like every meal could be his last. Crates are still a bit stressful for Bobble, and we’re slowly helping him feel safe and comfortable in one. He’s a smart, fast learner and would do best in an active, patient home that can continue teaching him manners, routines, and how to navigate life as a confident young dog. Bobble is affectionate, loving, and especially enjoys playtime with his foster dog brother. With guidance, consistency, and lots of love, he’s going to grow into a wonderful, loyal companion.   Stop by our weekly adoption events on Saturdays from 12-4 pm at 372 Townline Road in Mundelein, IL 60060 to meet our adoptable animals in person.
