Name: Aries Oliver Breed: Border Collie / Feist Mix Gender: Male DOB: 8/11/25 Aries Oliver is a young Border Collie/Feist mix with a bright mind, a playful spirit, and a heart ready to bond. Born on 8/11/25, he’s still very much a puppy — curious about the world and eager to grow into the best companion he can be. Currently around 40/50lbs and we don’t think he will get much bigger! With his breed mix, Aries brings together intelligence and affection. He enjoys staying busy, learning new things, and engaging with his people. Training sessions, interactive toys, and outdoor adventures are great ways to engage with him and keep him entertained. He is at a wonderful age to continue building confidence and developing strong household manners. Aries would thrive in a home that can provide regular exercise and mental stimulation. A securely fenced yard is a bonus, but an active family committed to daily walks, playtime, and enrichment is a must. With guidance and consistency, he has all the potential to become a loyal, well-rounded adult dog. He is looking for a family that understands the needs of an intelligent working-breed mix and is excited to invest time in helping him succeed. Story
About Me: Name: Pacino Breed (or best guess): Chihuahua - Min Pin type mix Approximate Age: Young Adult Gender: Male Approximate Weight: 8 lb Adoption Fee: $495 Requirements: Loving family Why In Rescue: Texas transfer Profile:   Pacino came to us from Texas so he would have a better chance at finding a home.  He is a bit of a shy boy who has been neutered and is updated on his medical care.  He came with some friends but is ready for a home of his own.  Now he just needs a home.  We do not have a background or history about him, so don't know if he lived with children or with other pets.  If interested please fill out the pre-adoption application and we can arrange a meet to see if he is the right match for your family. We do put the needs of the dog's first, so it is nothing personal if we determine a particular dog isn't suitable for your specific home and living situation. If interested in adoption, the first step is filling out the pre-adoption application at http://www.bichonrescues.com/pre-adoption-form-dog  If link isn't clickable, please copy/paste or visit http://www.bichonrescues.com.  Please note, filling out inquiry forms on Petfinder or Adoptapet and/or their application forms does not constitute an application for one of our dogs.  Priority in responding to inquires and applications is always to the applications filled out on our website, time constraints limit the number of other inquires we can reply to. We do our best to evaluate the dogs while they are with us, but they sometimes act different in the shelter environment than they do in a home.  Many times we do not know the actual breed/mix or age of the dog, in that case we use our best guess as to breed and age.   We are located in Mukwonago, WI.  Adopters must come to us, we do not ship our dogs.  Please do not apply for a dog until you are ready to adopt.  Once an application is approved you will be notified by email to make an appointment to meet the dog.  All dogs are seen by appointment only. The adoption fee through Bichon and Little Buddies Rescue is $495 for most adults and up to $650 for puppies which includes Wi State Sales Tax.  Included in this fee is your new companion who will be spayed/neutered, have a current Certificate of Veterinary Inspection (as required by state law), current on age appropriate vaccinations, heartworm tested (if old enough) and started on preventative, microchipped, and given a general wormer.  Other medical needs will also have been taken care of, such as dentals and treating ear infections.  To assist you and your new pet in adjusting to life together, you may chose to take an 8 week age appropriate obedience training course at For Pet's Sake Dog Training in Mukwonago, WI for $100 (up to $260 value).  You may opt to take Puppy Kindergarten, Adult Beginners, or Small Dogs Big Hearts.  You must register for the class within 90 days of adoption for the reduced fee.  For more information on the classes visit www.forpetssake.cc  More important information: ***We are a Wisconsin based rescue and do not ship our pets.  If you are considering adoption you must be willing to drive to meet and adopt the pet, as well as bring the pet back to us if the adoption doesn't work.  We adopt primarily in WI and IL, but will consider applicants in MN, IA, and MI.*** ***Please do not set up an appointment to meet the animals until you are ready to take your pet home.  If the meeting results in a match, you can often take the dog/cat home the same day or within a couple days if the medical care hasn't been completed.  We are not able to hold pets for adopters beyond this time.  Thanks for understanding.*** ***While we hope all of our adoptions lead to permanent homes for the animals we place, sometimes things just don't work out.  We do have a 30 day trial period.  For the first 30 days, if you or Bichon and Little Buddies decide that the adoption isn't a good match for either the humans or the pet, the adoption fee will be refunded minus $100 within 30 days of the return of the dog.  Bichon and Little Buddies also requires adopters to return the pet to us at any time that they are unable or unwilling to care for the animal anymore.*** ***We do not show dogs without an appointment.  The first step in adoption is filling out the pre-adoption application at http://www.bichonrescues.com/pre-adoption-form-dog  Please do not call/email until AFTER you have filled out an application.*** Bichon and Little Buddies is a State Licensed Rescue # 268555-DS June 4, 2026, 5:25 pm

Story
About Me: Name: Marigold Breed (or best guess): Chihuahua/Beagle/Pug type mix Approximate Age: 6 months Gender: Female Approximate Weight: 7 lb Adoption Fee: $495 Requirements: Patient, loving family Why In Rescue: stray/lost dog    Profile:  Meet Marigold - a sunshiny little pup who is learning that the world can be kind.  Marigold is happy, playful, and affectionate once she feels safe.  She loves toys and is wonderfully entertaining because she can happily play independently for stretches of time.  At bedtime, her favorite place is right beside you, sharing your pillow.  She can be a little cautious with new people and sudden movements startle her.  If someone reaches for her too quickly she may submissively pee.  She does best when allowed to approach at her own pace rather than being reached for.  With patience, gentle handling, and encouragement, her confidence continues to grow every day.  This smart girl has already learned how to manage stairs and is making progress with housetraining.  Like many puppies her age, she'll need consistency and routine as she continues learning.  Marigold would thrive with a patient family who understands that building trust takes time and kindness.  A family with no children, or only older children would be best, as fast movements from children could be too much for her to handle at first. We don't have a background or history about Marigold as she was taken to Milwaukee Animal Control as a found dog.  She is being spayed and having her cherry eye repaired on 5/27, so will be able to go home after that. About Me: Name: Chelan Breed (or best guess): Chihuahua/Min Pin Approximate Age: 3 months Gender: Female Approximate Weight: currently 8 lb Adoption Fee: $495 Requirements: Family willing to train a puppy Why In Rescue: Stray/lost dog Profile:   Meet Chelan! Chelan is an adorable little mixed breed puppy who is ready to find a loving forever home! We think this tiny girl may be a Chihuahua/Min Pin mix, and at around 3 months old and just 8 pounds, she is full of puppy charm and personality. Chelan first arrived at Milwaukee Animal Control before making her way to Bichon and Little Buddies, where she is now hoping to meet the family of her dreams. Like many young puppies, she can be a little shy when meeting new people at first, but once she feels comfortable, her sweet and social personality shines through. At the shelter, she enjoys attention and being around people she trusts. As a young puppy, Chelan is still learning about the world and will need a family committed to training, socialization, and all the fun (and work!) that comes with raising a puppy. With patience, love, and consistency, she is sure to grow into a wonderful companion. Chelan would love a home where she can feel safe, loved, and included as part of the family. If you are ready for puppy kisses, playtime, and lots of happy moments, Chelan may be the perfect little addition to your home!
