Story
Pippie is an adorable 3-year old, 25 pounder who is affectionate and cuddly. She loves her walks and hikes where she can run, smell and jump in and out of the tall grass. Pippie needs more work on her leash manners, as she does pull in excitement at times. We continue to work on her leash training. Pippie listens well and knows to sit and wait. She is great in her crate. Working for treats, which she takes very gently, is one of her favorite pastimes. She is a smart girl. Pippie lives in a foster home with another dog and a cat. She gets along with them but did start a territorial squabble with a former foster dog. For that reason, she may do best as an only dog. She is fine with cats. Pippie has trouble (in the form of barking) meeting new people and dogs. We call this stranger danger. She will also demonstrate agitated barking spells at random times, like when things are moving quickly around her. She recovers from these barky moments well and there is no aggression involved. For her comfort, Pippie should live in a quiet home, no shared walls, with an adopter who is willing to work with her quirks. Interested in this sweet dog?
