Story
Cal is the sweetest boy you could ever find. He's smart and motivated, loves working on his training, and he seems like he could be an expert in sporting competitions or nosework with the right training. His favorite game is fetch, and he loves all toys (especially the squeaky ones). Hell find his favorite, and ask you to play! He can be reactive to some dogs at first (though he's made a lot of progress with his leash manners!), but when he makes a friend, they're friends for life. He also gets a little nervous around unfamiliar people or situations. We've been working a lot on building his confidence and learning that the world isn't a scary place, but he likely needs an experienced adopter who can keep coaching him to be as polite in public as he is at home. Right now, he isn't quite ready for daycare, boarding, or a dog walker, so we need to find him a home where those aren't as vital in the near term. Hopefully your home can be the place where he can live his best life!

Story
Dolly, spayed female, 3y-5-m-old, 44-lbs If you would like to give DOLLY a forever home, please contact abetterchancerescue@gmail.com OR log onto abetterchancerescue.org to fill out online application Dolly has an easy-going temperament, very playful and lively. She loves people and is sociable around other dogs and stays calm when meeting cats. She is potty trained and crate trained to sleep overnight; not a chewer or barker. Dolly is most suitable for an outdoor loving family, and/or as an addition to family with dog. Dolly’s rescue story: Driving home during a stormy night, the rescuer spotted a dark moving object in-between the traffic lanes. When she stopped her car to check it out, she found Dolly moving toward her slowly, wagging her tail. She didn’t seem injured but apparently had difficulty moving. Dolly followed the rescuer to her car and off to the hospital they went. The doctor’s diagnostic was that Dolly simply suffered from starvation. Under the care of her foster family, Dolly regained her hearth and received proper training. But being a dog with black color coat has hardly any chance to be adopted by local people. Hopefully Dolly can start her new life aboard. Dora, spayed female, 1year-10months-old, 32-lbs If you would like to give DORA a forever home, please contact abetterchancerescue@gmail.com OR log onto abetterchancerescue.org to fill out online application About Dora: Dora has a mild and stable temperament. She is well behaved: no excess barking, stays calm and sleeps overnight in her crate; she is also an excellent walking companion! Dora is very playful, children and adults alike, as well as other dogs and cats. She is very food motivated, loves chew toys; and enjoys keeping her humans company. Once she even comforted another dog while being treated in the hospital! She is an absolute sweetie you would not want to miss! About Dora’s rescue: In south eastern Taiwan, near the coastal region, where the villagers are very much into worshiping the local goddess, but most of them are short in the knowledge about animal welfare, let alone caring for them. Unfortunately, Dora and her nine siblings were born in this area. As the volunteers were overwhelmed with the number of strays to be cared for, rescuer’s help was sought. When Dora was taken over by the rescuer, she was only two months old. She was severely malnourished. But she’s also one of the luckier ones to be raised by a foster family.
