Story
Floyd has been in our program for over 2 years now waiting for a forever family. He is such a great dog! But would do best with no other pets in the home as he prefers to be an only child. Floyd has learned how to be loved and has come such a long way. He's a Lab and Mastiff mix who is 6.5 years old now. There's still a road ahead of dedication and training that he'll need. Floyd is treat motivated, so he's responsive to training. He LOVES to play and run, and is a super toy chewer dog! Floyd is neutered, microchipped, up to date on vaccines, and currently receiving monthly prevention for flea/tick and heartworm. This gorgeous chocolate girl is about as sweet as they come!At approximately a year old, Ginger is a young, affectionate Lab mix who loves people and soaking up all the attention she can get. She's got a fun, playful personality with just a tiny dash of orneriness to keep things interesting!Ginger is a sweet girl who takes correction beautifully and is eager to please. She's also accustomed to living with several other dogs, so she's no stranger to having canine companions.Before coming to us, Ginger was a country dog who was largely left to fend for herself. Unfortunately, she wasn't kept on regular flea and tick prevention, and her veterinary testing revealed that she had been exposed to two tick-borne diseases, Lyme disease and Ehrlichiosis. Both are transmitted through infected tick bites, and many dogs with positive tests live perfectly normal, happy lives!Ginger has completed her month-long course of doxycycline to treat the diseases and is ready for her next chapter! Her adopters will just need to keep their veterinarian informed of her history and continue routine preventative care just as you would for any other dog. Ginger is an absolute sweetheart who deserves a family to love, a couch to curl up on, and a lifetime of being someone's very best girl.She's already got the sweet part down.
