Story
Gonzo is an 8 month old, very cute low rider. He is the biggest and shyest of his litter, currently weighing about 27 pounds. We are not sure of his breed mix but based on looks only we suspect maybe some flat coated retriever, corgi, scotty, doxie, and perhaps schnauzer. Gonzo's favorite things are toys and playing with the other dogs in his foster home. Gonzo took about a week before he would go to his foster humans for pets, he is still shy and will try to get away if he is attempted to be picked up. He would do best in a home with another confident dog who would love to play with him. He would also do best with a fenced yard as he loves to spend time outside. Gonzo will need continued work with potty training, and basic obedience once he is comfortable with his people. He has been accident free in his foster home for the past week since learning the doggie door. His adoption fee of $300 covers his neuter, microchip with registration, vaccines, and current monthly flea and heartworm preventions. Please apply at gfrpets.org/apply ##2641994##

Story
Meet Lucille, a 46 pound 2 year old Doodle who came to us with her sister, Ethel. Lucille's foster dad says she affectionate, but reserved in expressing that affection. She loves to play with toys and is especially excited when she has a sock to toss around. Lucille enjoys going for walks and just being outside. She gets along well with both small and large dogs and is playful with her sister and the foster's dogs. Lucille is crate trained, is working on her housetraining. Both girls are looking for a quiet home with a patient family that can give them time to adjust and learn to trust them. A family without small children is best, as Lucille and Ethel can be startled by noises and fearful in new situations. Ethel and Lucille are timid with new people, but they have already come to trust their foster family.  They would both benefit from having another dog in the home to give them confidence.  A fenced yard is required. Lucille's minimum adoption fee is $200 plus a $15 rabies registration fee for McLean County residents. If she's adopted with Ethel, their combined adoption fee is $300, plus $15 per dog for rabies registration in McLean County. She has been spayed, microchipped, vaccinated, heartworm checked, dewormed, and is on flea and heartworm preventatives. Story
Meet Yams, a 2-year-old Labrador Retriever mix weighing in at 43 pounds of pure sweetness and quiet charm. From day one, she’s been showing just how wonderful a companion she’s going to be.  She truly shines during playtime. Yams adores romping and wrestling with her canine foster sibling, chasing toys, and happily entertaining herself with a good chew. After a short burst of fun, she transforms into a world-class snuggler, happiest tucked right against her humans for a cozy nap. Yams currently lives with a cat and can relax calmly enough to sleep beside it, but she still finds the occasional chase irresistible. Because of this, she would do best with a dog-savvy cat or in a cat-free home. She has not yet met children, but her foster believes she would do well with older kids who understand her shy, sometimes timid nature and can give her time to feel safe. Her foster describes her as friendly, gentle, adaptable, playful, and quiet. Despite being young, she has a calm, easygoing maturity that makes her a peaceful presence in the home. She doesn’t demand constant activity. She just wants to be near her people, share some play, and soak up affection. If you’re looking for a loyal, loving companion who will greet you with soft eyes, happy tail wags, and endless cuddles, Yams may be the perfect addition to your family. Her adoption fee is sponsored. There is a $15 fee, if 4 months or older, for rabies registration for McLean County residents. She has been spayed, microchipped, vaccinated, heartworm checked, dewormed, and is on flea and heartworm preventatives. Story
This adorable guy is Ferb, a happy-go-lucky five-month-old Labrador Retriever Mix who weighs 36.7 pounds! He's noticeably more energetic than his brother, Phineas, and is always ready for fun.  Ferb is still learning the ropes when it comes to leash manners - likely because he hasn’t had much experience on one yet - but he's very eager and will benefit greatly from basic puppy training. Above all, he's a total lovebug: super sweet, affectionate, and full of charm. His minimum adoption fee is $325 plus a $15 fee, if 4 months or older, for rabies registration for McLean County residents. He has been neutered, microchipped, vaccinated, heartworm checked, dewormed, and is on flea and heartworm preventatives.
