Story
Meet Buddy! This handsome meatball is looking for his forever home. He gets along well with other dogs and he LOVES humans. Buddy has no problem snuggling up with anyone who will give him pets. His favorite time of day is when his girl gets home from school because it means more snuggles! He's a chill boy who spends most of his day napping or chewing on a bone. He also has a goofy side. His foster family loves when he gets excited and hops around like a bunny. He gets along with other dogs in his foster home. He's potty trained, crate trained, loves car rides, and does well on a leash. He's the whole package! Buddy would be a great addition to any home! All Pet Central animals are up to date on age-appropriate vaccinations, spayed or neutered, microchipped (registration included), and current on parasite prevention. Dogs over six-months of age are heartworm tested. When adopting, we will ensure that you receive copies of veterinary and microchip records. If you are interested in this pet, please fill out the brief Adopter Survey by hitting "Apply for Adoption" on the profile. After we review your completed survey we will contact you by phone or email within three business days. We're primarily a volunteer organization, so we appreciate your patience. (below) The PCH adoption counselor will then set up a specific appointment time and location. Adopters should bring a pet carrier and leash to pick up. Adult pets will be wearing a collar. Story
Meet Neville, a fun-loving Labrador Retriever mix who’s one year old and 51 pounds and ready to find his forever home! This beautiful pup has plenty of energy and would thrive in a home with a fenced yard where he can run and play to his heart’s content. He loves to stay active and would be a great companion for someone who enjoys an active lifestyle. Neville is highly food motivated and he already knows how to sit and shake, and he’s working hard on not jumping up to give hugs—though he’s still practicing his "down" command. He adores playing with stuffed toys but has the rare quality of not shredding them. Although Neville could use a few more pounds, he's full of love and affection. His playful, energetic nature will make him a great fit for a family that can provide him with the exercise and attention he craves. If you’re looking for an active, sweet, and trainable companion, Neville could be the perfect match for you! His minimum adoption fee is $295 plus a $15 fee, if 4 months or older, for rabies registration for McLean County residents. He has been neutered, microchipped, vaccinated, heartworm checked, dewormed, and is on flea and heartworm preventatives. Story
Meet Gumbo, the sweet and loving mama who raised her precious "Baby Soups" litter, born on 7/30/24. Now that her puppies are ready for their own adventures, it's Gumbo's time to shine and find her forever home. This 2-year-old Lab mix is the perfect medium size at 55 pounds, with a heart as big as her gentle, affectionate nature. Gumbo is house-trained and crate-trained, but her favorite place to sleep is snuggled up in bed with her humans. She’s a friendly, outgoing, and adaptable girl who’s done well with everyone she’s met—big dogs, small dogs, men, and women. While she hasn’t been exposed to children in her current foster home, we anticipate she’d do great with them. She was reported to be good with cats, although she hasn’t been around any recently. Gumbo enjoys playtime in the yard, brief walks, and playing with toys, though she’s still learning how to walk on a leash. This girl is quick to adapt and eager to please, picking up commands like “sit” and working on “stay.” Despite limited experience, she enjoyed her one car ride and settled in nicely. Whether left loose in the house or crated while her foster family is out, Gumbo is non-destructive and well-mannered. With her warm, loyal, and playful personality, Gumbo will thrive in any loving environment. She’s the kind of dog who will bring joy and comfort to your home, always ready for belly rubs and snuggles. If you're looking for a sweet, easygoing companion who has given so much love to her pups and is now ready to share that love with you, Gumbo is the perfect match! Her minimum adoption fee is $295 plus a $15 fee, if 4 months or older, for rabies registration for McLean County residents. She has been spayed, microchipped, vaccinated, heartworm checked, dewormed, and is on flea and heartworm preventatives. Story
This handsome hunk is Dodger, a 4-month-old Labrador Retriever mix who currently weighs 26.2 pounds. His foster mom describes him as a playful, rambunctious, and sweet puppy. His hobbies include chewing, playing with his foster fur siblings, and romping around the yard. Although he plays a little rough, he's good about taking correction from other dogs. He loves to play and initiates play.  Dodger would do well with another dog in his family, but it's not required. A canine pal would need to be OK with his play style. You see, Dodger loves to steal toys and then hoards them! He would likely do well with children that can handle his energy.  Dodger is working on house-training and does well in his crate. He can be crated for a typical work day and sleeps through the night in his crate. It takes Dodger a moment to settle down (whining/whimpering), so shared walls might not be best for him.  Dodger's foster mom shared: "He is eager to learn and is treat motivated. He already knows 'sit.' Overall, he's a great puppy and would make a great addition to a family." His adoption fee is $350 plus a $15 fee, if 4 months or older, for rabies registration for McLean County residents. He has been neutered, microchipped, vaccinated, heartworm checked, dewormed, and is on flea and heartworm preventatives. Story
Greetings, friends! My name is Yogi, and I'm a devastatingly handsome Labrador Retriever mix who weighs 40.2 pounds. I'm 1.5 years old and can't wait to find my forever family. I'm a high energy boy who enjoys lots of physical and mental stimulation. Two of my favorite things are toys and car rides. I absolutely love running in the yard or house with children and my canine pals. My foster parents think I do well with their young children, but I need to learn to keep all four paws on the floor. I call it jumping for joy, but I'm learning not to jump on people. I'm working on housetraining and do well in my crate. Although a fence is not required, it would be ideal so I'd have a safe way to work off my excess energy. Are you looking to add a friendly, energetic companion to your pack? I might be the boy for you! My adoption fee is $300 plus a $15 fee, if 4 months or older, for rabies registration for McLean County residents.  I have been neutered, microchipped, vaccinated, heartworm checked, dewormed, and am on flea and heartworm preventatives. To be considered for adoption, you must first submit the application found at:   http://fs16.formsite.com/WishBoneCanineRescue/adoptionapplication/index.html For information about this dog's breed(s), visit: http://www.dogbreedinfo.com/abc.htm Wish Bone Canine Rescue  1303 Morrissey Drive Bloomington, IL 61701 www.wishbonecaninerescue.org           Since its our desire that you have a pet you can enjoy a lifetime of love with you, we take special measures to ensure that the pet is the best match for you and your family.  We require that you complete our online www.wishbonecaninerescue.org (Please give us 24 hours to verify your information). Story
Links is a beautiful 4-year-old mixed breed dog who is looking for her forever home. She`s house-trained, kennel-trained, and knows a variety of basic commands including sit, stay, come, uh-uh, wait, and ok. Links is a dream on a leash, making her an excellent walking companion. This lovely girl is full of energy and loves to explore the great outdoors, especially when hiking (she`s great at `getting the zoomies`!) Links adores water and enjoys car rides, so she`s always ready for an adventure. When she`s not out and about, Links loves attention and belly rubs. She`s treat-motivated, which makes training and bonding with her a joy.Links gets along well with other dogs and enjoys initiating play with her current canine foster sibling. While she may not immediately play with new dogs, she is always pleasant when meeting them. However, Links prefers a home without small kids or cats.Though she is people-selective, Links’ loyalty and affection are unmatched once she trusts you. She prefers indoor lounging but is making great progress with spending more time outside.

Story
Kenna is a 7-year-old sweetheart who came to us from an out-of-state rescue in rough shape. This poor girl was plagued with a whole host of dermatological issues, ones that were actually so severe that the original shelter labeled her a shar-pei mix. In reality, her skin was just so pickled from mistreatment and once we began treating it with medicine and a special diet we started seeing major improvement! She`s growing hair and putting on weight, but we`re still working on diagnosing her full condition. So far she`s being treated for Demodex mange, dry eye, and ear infections. Despite her medical setbacks, Kenna is a DOLL and it is easy once you meet her to see why the staff loves her so much! If she is playing and you call for her, she`ll prance over to you for attention. She loves love and being pet but gets very itchy from it. :( Kenna is not available for adoption at this moment, but could be eligible for foster under the right circumstances. If interested, please give us a call at 309-353-8277.
