Story
Meet Minnie – Tiny Puppy, Huge Personality Minnie is a 2-month-old Black Lab mix who weighs 16 pounds and is packed full of confidence, energy, and puppy charm. This happy girl approaches life at full speed and is always ready for her next adventure. Like any young puppy, Minnie is still working on house-training, but she's making great progress. She also does very well in her crate, especially when she's had plenty of playtime and enrichment beforehand. Minnie's favorite activities include playing fetch, chewing on a good bone, collecting toys, and wrestling with her canine friends. She especially loves spending time with her best buddy Cece, who is also available for adoption. Minnie has never met a dog she didn't want to play with, and while she's still learning that not every dog shares her enthusiasm, she's making progress with boundaries and social skills. Her foster mom describes her as playful, confident, and always on the go. She's learning how to settle down and take breaks, but she'd much rather be running around the yard, playing games, or finding a new way to entertain herself. Described as friendly, outgoing, confident, happy, and playful, Minnie is looking for a family ready for all the fun—and training—that comes with raising a smart, active puppy. With guidance, consistency, and plenty of love, she's going to grow into an amazing companion. Her minimum adoption fee is $350 plus a $15 fee, if 4 months or older, for rabies registration for McLean County residents. She has been spayed, microchipped, vaccinated, heartworm checked, dewormed, and is on flea and heartworm preventatives. Story
Plex is a Lab mix puppy born 1/15/26, currently weighing 18.4 pounds. Part of our Yo Gabba Gabba litter, Plex is settling into foster care and starting to show more of his personality each day. He can be a little shy at first and may take some gentle encouragement to feel comfortable, but once he knows he’s safe, he quickly warms up and happily accepts belly scratches. Plex is making great progress with house training and does well overnight in his crate, keeping it clean. During the day, he’s comfortable using his crate as a place to relax, often choosing to nap there with the door open. He enjoys playing with toys, spending time in the yard, and interacting with other dogs of all sizes. He has done well with everyone, including children, though like any puppy, he can be a bit mouthy and bouncy at times and is continuing to work on those manners. While Plex enjoys being near his people and will follow you from room to room, he also has an independent side and is happy to settle down in a cozy spot on his own. He would do well in a home ready to continue guiding him with house training, crate training, and basic obedience while helping him build confidence. With patience and consistency, Plex is sure to grow into a wonderful companion. His minimum adoption fee is $350 plus a $15 fee, if 4 months or older, for rabies registration for McLean County residents. Meet Midnight, an 8-year-old Goldendoodle with a gentle heart and a sweet tooth! Weighing 44 pounds, Midnight can be a little shy when meeting new people and exploring new situations, but a tasty treat is often the quickest way to earn her trust. Midnight is looking for a patient adopter who will give her the time and space she needs to settle in and feel safe. With a calm approach, plenty of encouragement, and a few snacks along the way, she has the potential to blossom into a devoted companion. If you have a soft spot for the quieter dogs and enjoy watching confidence grow one small victory at a time, Midnight may be the perfect match for you. Her minimum adoption fee is $300 plus a $15 fee, if 4 months or older, for rabies registration for McLean County residents. She has been spayed, microchipped, vaccinated, heartworm checked, dewormed, and is on flea and heartworm preventatives. Story
All Pet Central animals are up to date on age-appropriate vaccinations, spayed or neutered, microchipped (registration included), and current on parasite prevention. Dogs over six-months of age are heartworm tested. When adopting, we will ensure that you receive copies of veterinary and microchip records. Records are sent via email. Paper versions are available upon request. If you are interested in this pet, please fill out the brief Adopter Survey by hitting "Apply for Adoption" on the profile above. After we review your completed survey, we will contact you by phone or email within three business days. Please note- Out of respect for our volunteers and staff, we are closed on Sunday and Monday and will not be processing any applications on those days. Please get back to us right away when we call or email regarding an application so that we can quickly connect using the process below: Select a pet and submit an online adoption survey. A PCH! adoption counselor will contact potential adopters within three business days (PCH! cannot guarantee any pet's availability, but we make every effort to accommodate adopters with a reply and possible alternative suggestions). An adoption counselor and client will then have a conversation to answer questions, discuss any medical needs for the pet and determine the suitability of a match (if necessary, we may opt to put adopters in touch with foster parents). After a match is made, clients will be asked to sign our adoption agreement and pay the adoption fee online through our secure payment system *Please see our modified no-risk return policy. (below) The PCH! adoption counselor will then set up a specific appointment time and location. Adopters should bring a pet carrier and/or a leash to pick up and their ID. Adult pets will be wearing a collar. It is important that clients arrive on time, neither early nor late. Cats and kittens are required to leave in a pet carrier. If your adoption is scheduled at Pet Central Helps!: Upon arrival inside the Crossroads Center complex (360 Wylie Drive), look for the black Pet Central Helps! semi-trailer, which is right outside of our facility (Suite 720). Park in the parking lot and enter the facility. A PCH! representative will greet you and show you to the adoption room. Your new pet will be handed to you. We will take a "Happy Adoption Day” photo with your pet and family. If your adoption is scheduled at PetSmart – Bloomington, IL: Park in the PetSmart (1606 E. Empire St.) Parking lot and enter the store. We will be set up just inside the store entrance. Let us know you are here to pick up your pet! A PCH! representative will confirm your information and hand you your pet. We will take a "Happy Adoption Day” photo with your pet and family. If your adoption is scheduled at the Cat’s Meow Cafe: Navigate to PetSmart, park in the parking lot and enter the store. Locate a PCH! Representative at our adoption table and let them know you are picking up a Cat Cafe Cat. You will sign your final contract with your counselor and snap a picture of the completed screen. Head to the Cat’s Meow Cafe at 507 N. Hershey Rd and provide them with the snapshot of your final contract. They will get your cat and take a “Happy Adoption Day” photo with your pet and family. PCH! supports a 30-day no-fault return policy in which adopters are given the opportunity to find a better match. If we cannot provide advice/tools to keep a pet in the home we offer these options: Exchange for a pet that may be a better match** Receive a refund minus a $40 processing fee** With this approach, we can often turn mismatches into opportunities! Thank you, Pet Central Helps!
