Story
Hi, there! My name is Lexi, and I am a 1.5 year old Labrador Retriever Mix who weighs 35.1 pounds. I’m on the search to find my forever family, hopefully you can help me! I am very energetic and playful, but respectful of everyone in my foster home including my senior canine foster brother. I know to be gentle when I play and will hold your hand in my mouth, but I never bite down! I just like to hold your hand.  I am so smart, I learned how to use the doggy stairs and door in my foster home my very first day. I do occasionally have accidents as I am still learning, but they aren’t frequent. I typically let myself out all on my own. I am very food motivated and such a smart cookie so training me should be very fun for the both of us.  I do like to use my crate to decompress, however, I usually prefer to be with my people. I love to sleep with my foster parents in their bed. I adore everyone I meet and greet them with a nose boop. I can’t wait to play fetch, go for car rides, and give all of my love to my forever family!  Her minimum adoption fee is $295 plus a $15 fee, if 4 months or older, for rabies registration for McLean County residents. She has been spayed, microchipped, vaccinated, heartworm checked, dewormed, and is on flea and heartworm preventatives. Story
Hi, friends! If you’re looking for a new lovely lady in your life then look no further! My name is Lucy, and I am a 1.5 year old Labrador Retriever Mix who weighs 25.7 pounds.  My favorite thing to do is give lots of love and affection. I am not a high-energy pooch and am described as very easy going. The couch is my best friend. I love to lounge around, especially in my human’s lap on the couch. I like to chew on my bones and am learning to play with my canine foster sibling. Typically, I take a little bit of time to warm up to my canine friends, but once I have I do very well with them. My foster mama is happy to report that I am making great progress on my house training. As long as I stay on a schedule, I don’t have any accidents within the home. One thing I really adore about my foster home is the children in it. I get so excited to have them around. I do jump up to greet them, but once I have given them all of my love and adoration I settle down nicely to receive lots of pets.  My foster family thinks that I would do well in just about any environment. I can’t wait to meet you and shower you with all of my Lucy love! Her minimum adoption fee is $295 plus a $15 fee, if 4 months or older, for rabies registration for McLean County residents. She has been spayed, microchipped, vaccinated, heartworm checked, dewormed, and is on flea and heartworm preventatives. Story
My name is Thatcher and I'm a cancer survivor! I had a mass on my paw and LCHS had my toe removed. My toe now looks like a hippo toe so now the girls here call me "Hungry Hungry Hippo" because I'm always eating and I come out of nowhere when there is food. I can smell the smallest crumb that has fallen on the floor and knock everything over to find it. And my favorite toy? Yep, you guessed it, A HIPPO!!!

Story
If you missed Ferdinand the first time he was here, now is your chance to welcome this happy and friendly boy into your life! He was adopted just 3 months ago and was returned because a dog was more work than the adopter anticipated and Ferdinand was in his kennel most of the time. Ferdinand is active, happy, and very food motivated. He is reported by his adopter to be cat and dog friendly and does well with children too...though he is a young, large breed young dog so children and parents should accept and be tolerant of the fact that he will jump in play and may knock little ones down....it's the nature of large breed young dogs. His adopter did report that he still needed work on potty training but a young dog locked in a kennel most of the time will struggle in that area. A little bit of patience, love and routine will go a long way in this area.

These pups are in Normal, Illinois too!

Story
Outdoor enthusiast! Guys! Did you know how much you can see if you beg your foster Mama to go out as much as possible?! I'm Rudy and I'm doing so well at my foster Mom's house. I walk great on a leash, would prefer a fenced in yard but I'm getting used to being leashed in my current home. Either way, I love the shade, a nice breeze and all the smells. Birds, rabbits and squirrels are so fun to watch (maybe chase too). I'm well behaved, rarely get on furniture (because beds are nicer and I can watch people work all day). I love being brushed and playing with any and all toys. I'm very interested in all the barking in my neighborhood, even have a little Chihuahua friend lives right next door. Looking for my forever home! I prefer to be the center of attention, especially if you enjoy walking daily! Adoption fee is: $199 Available now. All Pet Central animals are up to date on age-appropriate vaccinations, spayed or neutered, microchipped (registration included), and current on parasite prevention. Dogs over six-months of age are heartworm tested. When adopting, we will ensure that you receive copies of veterinary and microchip records.
