Harley is a soon-to-be 12-year-old Lab mix who was given up by her owners because they fell on hard time. It broke their hearts and hers. Harley just wants to be loved you and she will love you in return. Our vet's office, our groomer and everyone who meets her falls in love with her because she is such a great dog. She loves to be brushed and when you try to stop, she'll put her hand on your hand "like don't stop." She is very laid back and only has gotten on the couch once. She is, however, the ultimate couch potato. She is crate-trained, potty-trained, and wonderfully well-mannered. Harley has grown up around children of all ages and has a calm, loving personality and likes other dogs and cats.. All Heart of America Humane Society dogs are spayed/neutered, microchipped, and up-to-date on age-appropriate vaccinations.

Meet Miley, a 6-month-old mixed breed pup with the sweetest personality and a playful spirit to match. At around 41 pounds, this black-and-white beauty appears to be a Great Dane/Lab/Bully-type mix (best guess) and is still growing into her big paws and learning all about the world around her. Since coming into foster care, Miley has become so playful! She is mid to high energy and enjoys playing with humans and other dogs. Miley also does well with young children thanks to her friendly and gentle nature. She’s still waiting to be tested around cats. Like most puppies, Miley is still learning her manners. She knows “sit” and “drop,” uses the dog door, and is working on potty training and leash walking. With patience and positive reinforcement, she’s sure to keep making great progress. If you’re looking for a goofy, affectionate, playful pup to grow up with your family, Miley may be your perfect match! Cinnamon – 68 lbs | 6 years old | Lab mix (best guess) If you're looking for the dog who already seems to have life figured out, meet Cinnamon. Cinnamon is a 6-year-old Lab mix who came to Heart of America Humane Society through our Outreach Team, and she has settled into home life like she has been doing it forever. Despite spending much of her life outdoors, she has all the qualities people dream about in a companion dog. She is potty trained, walks nicely on a leash, gets along with other dogs, is cat friendly, and has mastered one of her favorite hobbies: stretching out for a good couch nap. Cinnamon has a calm, easygoing personality and seems happiest just being near her people. Sadly, years spent outside left Cinnamon vulnerable, and she tested positive for heartworms. The good news? Heartworm disease is treatable, and her treatment will be fully covered by the rescue. Dogs who complete treatment go on to live happy, normal lives, and Cinnamon deserves every bit of that future. She’s the kind of dog that makes you wonder how she ended up needing a second chance at all — but we’re glad she found her way to us.
