Story
We adopted Urie end of February. He is approximately 6 years old. He is house trained, never had an accident. However he is very protective of me- 42 year old female. He barks when my 17 year old son walks in, or when my husband comes in. He does not like them hugging me either. I have 4 kids, we wrestle around but it makes him very upset. I have a feeling he was abused or watched abuse. I was not told any of this when we adopted him. Our family is not a good fit as I feel he is becoming more and more anxious. He was great at first and I think he’d do great with a single woman.

Story
Chase has learned to live with our cat & I've seen him play well with small dogs.He has medium/big dog fear aggression. I asked previous owner if he had been attacked or bitten by another dog or wild animal, they said no. He's been a part of our family for 4 yrs & isn't as reactive w/other dogs as he used to be. That's to say, if he is a good distance he doesn't growl, show teeth, or lunge as much.Chase needs an experienced adopter, plenty of room to roam in his own pvt yard without medium/big dogs nearby. I have talked with a couple of trainers & they think it's likely he can be trained out of his fear aggression. This would be from a knowledgeable owner or trained professional. He loves people & attention. I would caution that he isn't in a home w/small children just because he hasn't lived w/young children in our home or w/original owner. He really is very sweet like Golden Retrievers are known for, he just has some special needs.Any of his supplies you want are part of adoption fee!

Story
Meet Lola 🖤🐾 Lola is a one-year-old Lab mix with a big personality, a bigger heart, and energy for days. At around 55–60 pounds, she’s still very much a playful puppy who is learning the ropes—and she’s looking for an active home ready to help her grow into her best self. Lola is incredibly affectionate and people-loving. She thrives on attention and connection, and at the end of the day, her favorite place is curled up next to her person enjoying some well-earned snuggles. She’s also very smart and highly treat-motivated, making her a great candidate for continued training. She loves learning and is eager to please. She already has a great foundation: * 🐾 Crate trained * 🐾 Potty trained * 🐾 Walks well on a leash (though she may get excited and pull at first!) Lola is currently looking for a home where she can be the only pet. She isn’t aggressive—she simply has a very energetic, enthusiastic play style that isn’t always well received by other dogs. She’s working hard on learning appropriate boundaries, and we’re hopeful that with continued training and slow, patient introductions, she may one day be able to enjoy canine companionship. For now, we’re still learning what works best for her. Like many young, active dogs, Lola can get into mischief if she’s bored. Structure, enrichment, and plenty of appropriate outlets help her thrive. She absolutely loves water, playing fetch, toys, brain games, and anything that keeps her mind and body busy. An active family who enjoys getting out and having fun will be right up her alley. One important note: Lola is a fence jumper and can clear a 6-foot fence, so she’ll need supervised outdoor time or another secure setup to keep her safe. Lola may still have a few puppy quirks, but underneath all that enthusiasm is a loving, loyal dog who just wants to be close to her people. With patience, consistency, and love, she’s going to make an incredible companion. If you’re looking for a fun, affectionate dog who will keep you active, make you laugh, and happily snuggle up with you at the end of the day, Lola is ready to meet you. 💙 ----------------------------------------- If you’re interested in adopting, please apply online at mscrescue.org/adopt. Story
Meet Banana Nut 🖤💙 Banana Nut is a stunning 6-month-old black Lab mix with the sweetest soul, one unforgettable blue eye splashed with brown, and the cutest little underbite that makes him impossible not to fall in love with. This handsome boy is the perfect mix of snuggly sweetheart and goofy puppy energy. He absolutely adores his people and wants nothing more than to be close to them — whether that’s curled up in your lap, sleeping beside you in the sun, or ideally… tucked into bed with you at night (his personal favorite arrangement 😅). Banana Nut is incredibly affectionate and eager to please. He’s already learned “sit,” takes direction well for a puppy, and is making wonderful progress with potty training. He sleeps quietly through the night in his crate and keeps it clean, though he’d definitely vote for unlimited cuddle privileges over crate time whenever possible. This boy LOVES being outside. A fenced yard where he can zoom around, sunbathe, and enjoy the grass would make him so happy. Most of the time he’s fairly mellow for a puppy, but every now and then he gets the funniest bursts of chaotic puppy energy that leave everyone laughing. Banana Nut can be timid at first and is still learning the world is a safe place. New people — especially children — can make him nervous initially, and he may bark when unsure. Once he warms up though, his loving personality shines through quickly. He’s also cautious around new dogs at first and would benefit from slow introductions and patient guidance. After taking time to settle in with his foster’s senior dogs, he became playful, affectionate, and loved snuggling up with them to sleep. Because he can be vocal and is still building confidence, Banana Nut would likely do best in a home rather than an apartment setting. If you’re looking for a puppy with movie-star looks, endless snuggles, and a heart ready to blossom with a patient family, Banana Nut may just be your perfect match. 💙 If you’re interested in adopting, please apply online at mscrescue.org/adopt.
