This week, we are pleased to welcome the Poet Puppies! Virginia (approximately 6 pounds) and her siblings Rupi, Sylvia, Shakespeare, Sappho, & Edgar were transferred to the NHSPCA from an overcrowded shelter in Tennessee. Their mama was shot & killed when they were only 4 weeks old, so we are very thankful to our rescue partners who were able to take these babies in & raise them until they were old enough for adoption. We have been told that mama was a Flat-Coat Retriever mix and we have no idea what dad could have been, although we suspect he was a smaller breed as these pups are not big for their age. Virginia is THE SWEETEST little girl who loves to get attention and play with toys. She enjoys playing with her siblings but has not yet had a chance to play with a larger dog, though she does appear interested in the big pups when she sees them. We suspect that Virginia will weigh between 29-35 pounds when full grown, but as this is not an exact science, please take it with a grain of salt. Rupi (approximately 7.23 pounds) and her siblings Virginia, Sylvia, Shakespeare, Sappho, & Edgar were transferred to the NHSPCA from an overcrowded shelter in Tennessee. Their mama was shot & killed when they were only 4 weeks old, so we are very thankful to our rescue partners who were able to take these babies in & raise them until they were old enough for adoption. We have been told that mama was a Flat-Coat retriever mix and we have no idea what dad could have been, although we suspect he was a smaller breed as these pups are not big for their age. Rupi is a social and friendly little lady who loves to get attention and play with toys. Edgar wants to be involved in everything all the time with his people, and if he's bored he will most definitely try to chew on your shoes or other inappropriate items. He enjoys playing with his siblings and got along well with the few older dogs he has met, although he does require some corrections from his adult canine friends. We suspect that Edgar will weigh between 24-30 pounds when full grown, but as this is not an exact science, please take it with a grain of salt.
