Story
Meet Naya, our little mountain miracle. At just 3 months old and around 12 lbs, Naya was found abandoned with her siblings on a mountain road in Puerto Rico — no food, no water, and no one to care for them. And yet, when rescuers found her, she didn’t cower… she gently wagged her tail. Naya is soft, loving, and incredibly sweet. She melts into your arms, follows her people closely, and has a calm, comforting presence that makes everyone fall for her. Despite everything, she chooses love every single time. She is still in Puerto Rico but will be transported to the States for foster or her forever home. Naya has already survived so much — now she’s ready for a life where she’ll be safe, cherished, and loved forever.

Story
Meet Vanilla – A Sweet Treat 🤍🐾 Vanilla’s story begins in the mountains of Puerto Rico, where she and her siblings were found abandoned—hungry, uncared for, and in constant danger of passing cars. At just 3 months old and 12 pounds, she has already faced more uncertainty than any puppy should ever know. But despite it all, Vanilla’s spirit is as soft and sweet as her name. She greets the world with gentle eyes, a wagging tail, and a heart full of love. There’s no bitterness in her—only trust, warmth, and a quiet hope that someone will finally choose her. Vanilla is the kind of puppy who will melt into your arms after a long day, follow you with quiet devotion, and remind you daily of the beauty of resilience. She didn’t get the start she deserved—but she’s ready for the life she does deserve. All she needs now is a safe place, a loving home, and someone to show her that she’ll never be left behind again. She is still in Puerto Rico but will be transported to the States for foster or her forever home. Could that someone be you? 🤍

Story
Meet Mateo, a 5-year-old, 65-lb gentle giant with the sweetest, most loving personality. His foster deadline is almost up and he has NOWHERE to go :( Mateo was rescued from a beach in Puerto Rico and has been through a lot of transition since — including being bounced between multiple foster homes, never truly getting the stability he deserves. The good news? Mateo is naturally affectionate from the start. He loves to snuggle, happily lounges by your side, and is the perfect TV-watching buddy. He bonds quickly and just wants to be close to his person. Like many dogs who have experienced instability, Mateo can be a bit sensitive around high-value items like bones, especially if he feels unsure. With structure, respect for his space, and proper guidance, he continues to build confidence. Mateo cannot live in a loud area. The city, loud noises, and constant activity are overwhelming for him. He needs a quiet home with a yard, where he can feel safe and relaxed. This sweet boy is so ready to finally land somewhere permanent. With the right home, Mateo will be an incredibly loyal, loving companion — the kind of dog who just wants to be by your side through it all.

She absolutely loves to snuggle and is the perfect nap buddy - calm, cozy, and content just being by your side. With a medium energy level and sweet disposition, Annette will fit into just about any home.Annette is wonderful with other dogs and enjoys playing outside, making her a great companion for both playtime and relaxing days at home. She has been in a foster home with cats and did not pay much attention to them, so will be fine with feline siblings. She has also been around multiple children of different ages and was great with them tooAnnette is crate trained and is pretty much house trained. With some more consistency, she should be a pro in no time. She also walks very nicely on a leash..Annette is an easygoing, gentle soul who gets along well with everyone she meets. Story
Adoptable in: MAGood with dogs: Yes, with proper introsGood with cats: NoGood with kids: Older children only (16+)Crate trained: YesHouse trained: YesHarley Memphis is a sweet, loyal, sensitive soul who is looking for a patient and loving family to live out his golden years. He recently underwent two major surgeries and is looking for a home that will continue to meet his unique medical needs. Although he has some physical limitations, he does not let this bring him down and is enjoying his life to the fullest!A few of Harley’s favorite things include snuggling with his humans, going for short walks, zoomies in small spaces, and spray cheese! Due to his mobility issues, Harley would do best in a home with minimal stairs and that has carpeting as he sometimes slips on hardwood floors. He would love a home with lots of soft dog beds, as he is unable to jump onto furniture. He does well with new dogs after proper introductions, but should have monitored interactions with other dogs, especially when approached from behind, until he feels more confident. Harley is currently thriving in his foster home and does best with structure and boundaries. He has met cats and would do best in a cat-free home as he is a bit too interested in his feline friends. Harley has met children and would do best in a home with older, dog-savvy teens (16+) who will respect his personal space and not make sudden, loud noises or movements. Harley is fully house and crate trained. Harley enjoys having his crate door open so he can come and go as he pleases. He rotates through his crate and his favorite dog beds when his foster is at work. Harley enjoys going for short walks around the neighborhood and walks well on leash. Harley is looking for a quiet family who will provide him with structure, love, and support so he can live a life of leisure!Note: Harley is part of our Foster to Adopt (FTA) program for prescription medication. Please Note: All dogs are posted until they are officially adopted.
