No Adoption Fee and $400 provided for training after adoption! DAWS is committed to finding Oreo the right home. Staff and volunteers love him but he deserves a real home. Oreo is a very handsome one-year-old flat coated retriever mix and weighs 58 lb. Oreo LOVES people! He wants to cuddle and spend quality time with anyone--no stranger danger for this boy! He loves to play ball and will enjoy all kinds of outdoor adventures. He is an active dog and needs an adopter that is committed to ongoing training and providing daily exercise. We recommend a house with a fenced-in yard, no apartment living for Oreo. He should be the only dog in the home, but Oreo is ok with cats. Oreo is neutered, microchipped, vaccinated and healthy. Moxie is as gorgeous as she is sweet! This silly gal LOVES people, gets along great with other dogs, is treat & praise motivated, and seriously, could she even be any more adorable? This scruffy pup was picked up as a stray and went unclaimed so we swooped in and sprung her from animal control. She is smart, agreeable, and just loads of fun. If you're looking for a new 4-legged bestie that will be happy to hit the hiking trails or the dog park with you, you just can't go wrong with this girl. If you think Moxie will be a good fit for your household, we'd love to hear from you. Moxie is spayed/neutered, up to date on vaccinations, and current on flea/tick and heartworm preventative. All dogs 6 month + receive a Proheart 6 injection at the time of their heartworm test. This provides heartworm prevention for 6 months from the time of that injection. This dog has tested ****** for heartworms. The adoption fee is $450 if your adoption is prepaid and final prior to your dog's arrival. An additional $50 will be charged on dogs that are adopted at an event, or foster home. This additional fee is necessary in order to comply with CT HB 5368. WANT TO MEET OUR DOGS IN PERSON? Check the Events tab on cprdogs.com for all weekend adoption event info. The majority of the dogs marked as 'meet me' will be there to see you! If you are a MA resident, your new family member is required to go through a mandatory 48 hour quarantine period at our Woburn MA isolation facility. Your new family member will be dropped off by our transport on Thursday and will be ready for you to pick him/her up on Saturday between 11 am-1 pm. An additional $100 fee will be added for any dogs picked up from the Woburn MA quarantine facility. This additional fee is necessary in order to comply with MA Order 405-CD-12 and Order 1-AHO-05. Meet Bart! Bart is a 3-year-old Flat-Coated Retriever (62 lbs) who is up to date on all vaccines and currently working on building confidence through training. He has a sensitive nature and can be unsure of new people at first, so slow, structured introductions are essential for him to feel safe.  While he does well with dogs, we are looking for a home where he will be your only puppy love. Because of this, Bart is looking for an *experienced* adopter who is committed to participating in training sessions before bringing him home, so he can build trust gradually. His trainers will also support the transition to set both Bart and his adopter up for success. Bart would do best in a calm, suburban or country home with adults only. Once he feels comfortable, this fella is incredibly loyal and forms a strong bond with his person. With patience, consistency, and continued training, he will make a deeply rewarding companion. Bart can’t wait to meet you!  He is waiting in boarding for his perfect forever home.  He is neutered, microchipped and vaccinated.
