Please note that we are a TX based rescue that transports our dogs once they are adopted. All our dogs reside in foster homes in TX. SNM (single neutered male) is in search of FLH (fur-ever loving home) Oh my, I find myself single again and on the prowl for my fur-ever family! I was found abandoned in a local doggie park. I'm so confused as to what I did so wrong that they just left me there, cuz I'm really a very well behaved boy that loves to hang out with my people. Even all that hasn't gotten me down, I'm still a happy boy that is just waiting for the right family that... I'm looking for someone that likes long walks in the moonlight, getting caught in the rain. I'm not really into yoga but I'd be happy to be your support buddy. If you have half a brain, you'll realize what a great catch I am!!! I'm not really into health food, but I'd share a pizza with you! If you're into Champaign... the bubbles tickle my nose so I'll just take a bowl of water! Then I'm the love that you've looked for... Fill out my adoption application and we can 'Escape' together. If you love cuddles, you're in luck. I loves to cuddle!! I also loves being petted. Very relaxing, puts me right to sleep! I know some basic commands and am ready to learn a whole bunch more. I am good with other dogs and kids! Oh, did I mention what a handsome stud muffin I am?!! Just look at these beautiful amber eyes in that shiny black coat! Ya know, I really am a great catch!!!! I would do best with an active family that will include me in their outdoor adventures. I am probably not the best choice for apartment living but with a family that has a nice big backyard and if that yard came with a playful sibling of either 2 or 4 legged variety, that'd be sooooo awesome!!!! If you're looking just to play around, I'm not the boy for you. But if you're in this for the long haul, I'm your man! I'm ready to be in a lasting relationship... with you!

Meet Lily, this gorgeous gal came to us from one of our partner shelters and they had nothing but good things to say about her. Lily can be a little nervous so a family that can be patient and understand that she needs a little time to warm up, we also know that Lily prefers to be the only pet in home - but has lived with kids so she'd love human buds! That being said, dog appropriate children will be the best to help her relax in her new home. Mavis was rescued from a fast-kill, small-town, dog pound. She was underweight and had skin problems from the nasty dirty greasy collar that was around her neck. She is a different dog now. A little pudgy at 70 pounds, but with a beautiful and fluffy coat. She is a golden retriever mix and is estimated to be around 5 years old. Mavis is crate trained, house trained, well-behaved in the house, walks well on a leash, and rides well in a vehicle. Mavis loves children and all people. She will sit at your feet and wait for pets. Mavis gets along with most dogs and loves to play. (We have one female dog that doesn't like Mavis so she likes to agitate that dog whenever she can LOL). Mavis is active and she likes to bark at squirrels. Mavis loves walks and playing with toys and other dogs. We do crate her at night but she does not need to be crated. Mavis is sweet, gentle, and loving. She is a wonderful dog. We do think she was beaten because she is scared of sticks and other things that might be used to hit her. And we do not understand why someone would hit such a good dog. Mavis must be in the house as a loved member of the family. Mavis did run out the gate once and took off exploring. We had to chase her down with a vehicle and caught up to her by the post office. So she cannot be trusted off-leash, and definitely needs a fenced yard to run and play. Mavis is healthy. She is spayed, fully vaccinated (DAPPvL2, Bordatella, rabies), and microchipped. Mavis has been treated for heartworms and they are now dead. She is on monthly heartworm and flea prevention. Mavis' adoption fee includes the cost of ground transport via Rescue Road Trips for pickup in Washington or New Stanton PA. She is being fostered in Texas and we cannot afford to send her north until after she is adopted. Fortunately, Charlie Murphy found his way to a happy and loving foster home and he’s settling in nicely… truth be told- Charlie Murphy always seems to be settled in. He has also never met a human, cat, or dog that he didn’t like (all animals still must be tested as they are still animals). Charlie Murphy is crate trained but he will still sometimes lift his leg inside which foster family has been working on. Being that he was only neutered recently, old habits can be harder to fight but they can still be managed. Please give this loving and loyal boy a chance.
