Story
Say hello to Mike, the 3-year-old, 60 lb Labrador Retriever mix who never goes anywhere without his favorite toy. If you spot a dog proudly trotting around with a stuffie in his mouth… it’s probably Mike. He’s the full package — affectionate, loyal, and happiest when he’s close to his people. Whether you’re headed out for a drive or settling in on the couch, Mike is right there with you. He rides beautifully in the car, takes baths like a gentleman, and is fully house trained. Mike prefers slow introductions with other dogs and would do best in a home without small animals, but with humans? He’s all in. If you’ve been waiting for a snuggly, toy-toting best friend, Mike might be the one.

Story
Miss Summer girl is an absolute delight! She caught my eye because she's got a gorgeous tan and white coat and the sweetest eyes that lovingly stare up at you. She can be a little bit energetic but as soon as treats are involved she plops her butt down into the most patient sit. She let me put whatever props I wanted on her and was truly unphased. If you get down to her level she gets soooo excited and will maul you with kisses! Truly just the sweetest, happiest girl. On her temp test with two other dogs she was nothing but friendly and happy to be included. I truly think she would be so adjustable and vibe with any household!

Story
Cody is a lucky boy with a story that makes him even more special. He was rescued from a homeless camp in Houston, TX, where many dogs do not get a second chance. Thanks to perfect timing and some kind humans, Cody made it out and has been thriving ever since. Cody is around 10 months old and weighs about 49 lbs. He is truly the definition of a big puppy with an even bigger heart. He loves everything, food, treats, bones, toys. If you are sharing it, he is happy. He is crate trained, potty trained, walks great on leash, rides well in the car, and does awesome out in public. Bath time is no problem either. He is a medium energy guy who loves to run laps in the yard, play with toys, and get his energy out with other dogs. Cody would prefer a home with other dogs and truly shines when he has canine friends to play with. He is very socially aware and respectful, even with senior dogs or more grumpy pups. With younger dogs, he is playful and energetic and loves to bounce around and have fun. He did well on his cat test and truly does not care about cats. He may sniff and then move along. While he has not been around kids yet, we truly believe he would do great with them given his gentle and happy nature. Like most puppies, Cody still needs some supervision to avoid normal puppy antics, but he already has a solid foundation and settles well when it is time to relax. He can be a bit timid at times, is always submissive with other dogs, and is overall just a sweet, playful love bug who wants to be included and have fun with his people. Cody would make an amazing addition to a family looking for a fun loving companion, a dog friendly pup, and a buddy for everyday adventures.

Story
Meet the biggest professional goofball himself, Atticus! He is a 10-month-old, crate and potty trained Lab mix who has decided that being adorable, dramatic, and a little chaotic is his full-time job. At a mighty 38 pounds, Atticus considers himself a lap dog. Personal space? Never heard of her. He’ll climb, sit, lean, or melt directly onto you like a warm marshmallow. If you’ve ever wanted a weighted blanket with legs, Atticus has your back (and probably your lap, too). His hobbies include:🌳 Running zoomies in the yard like a tiny tornado 🦴 Wrestling with his alligator rope toy (his most prized possession) 🚶‍♂️ Going on walks and pretending he’s an explorer on a grand expedition 💤 Snuggling so well his foster mom cancels plans to stay home and cuddle. Atticus does well with cats and will even try to play with them! He would thrive in a home with bigger dogs who can match his energy and play style. He’s got big paws and an even bigger heart! If you’re looking for a pup who is part comedian, part cuddle bug, and part outdoor explorer - Atticus is the guy for you! He’s the kind of dog that turns ordinary days into funny, love-filled adventures!

Story
WE ARE A TX-BASED RESCUE. THIS DOG IS CURRENTLY LOCATED IN TX AND WILL BE TRANSPORTED UPON ADOPTION. Please fill out an adoption application at haydudeequine.org Meet Creamsicle – The Golden-Hearted Girl Who Never Stopped Believing in Love At around 9 months old and 48 pounds, Creamsicle is a beautiful Golden Retriever–Great Pyrenees mix who somehow ended up with all the Golden personality and only the Pyrenees fluff. Sweet, friendly, eager, affectionate—this girl is sunshine in dog form. If Golden Retrievers had a motivational speaker division, Creamsicle would be the CEO. But her start wasn’t golden at all. Creamsicle spent her whole puppyhood tied to a tether outside a trailer, watching the world from a spot of dirt she never deserved. No toys. No soft beds. No one to run to. No one to run with. And yet… her heart never quit. When she first came to us, she had a little food aggression around other dogs—understandable when you’ve never known if your next meal was guaranteed. But with time, consistency, and the realization that she’s finally safe, Creamsicle has blossomed beautifully. She’s now doing wonderfully with her dog friends and has never shown an ounce of aggression toward people. Humans, in her eyes, are made of magic—especially the ones willing to pet her. And oh, does she love to be loved. She leans in, she wiggles, she smiles with her whole face. She gives love like she’s been storing it up for months—because she has. Creamsicle deserved so much more than what she got in her puppy months, but she refuses to dwell on the past. She’s too busy soaking up cuddles, handing out kisses, and living her best “I’m finally free!” life. Her capacity for forgiveness and joy would put most of us to shame. This girl is resilient, goofy, grateful, and ready. Ready for a family. Ready for a home. Ready to love—and to be loved back. If you’re looking for a sweet, gentle, funny, deeply affectionate companion with a heart big enough to light up your whole house… Creamsicle is your girl. Apply today at haydududeequine.org, and get ready to welcome a brave, bouncy, golden-hearted miracle into your arms, heart and home!! 🐾
