Story
OUT OF STATE TRANSPORT available for an additional fee. Hello, I'm Maximus/Mowgli and I was born around October of 2020! Yes, you read that right, TWO names. I got my first name from woofwoof fosters and my second name from the kind man that helped me get to woofwoof fosters. I was taken to the vet right away after I got to woofwoof fosters and found out that I have a broken leg in 3 spots from probably falling out of a vehicle. I don't really remember what happened and I prefer not too! What matters to me now is that I am at a safe place with kind people who helped me heal, and now are helping me find my furever home! I am taking applications! The vet and woofwoof fosters think I am a Great Pyrenees/Lab mix and weighed 75 pounds at my first vet visit! I was under-weight then, but I am at a healthy weight now thanks to lots of love from woofwoof fosters! I currently live inside a house with my foster family where there are 2 young children and 3 other dogs! My foster mom says I bark at cats outside but ignore them inside the house. I also did spectacular during my ‘Doggie Date Out’ and have been working on using special harness to help prevent pulling on a leash. I loved to give kisses and snuggle and I am just a huge baby! Despite my past, I am literally the happiest guy you will ever meet! “Pyradors” - an average male Great Pyrenees/Lab Mix stands tall to reach 25-29 inches, with a weight range of 80-100 pounds. Thank you for reading my bio, it really means a lot to me that you took the time to check me out!! Please tell everyone about me! Have a wonderful day and hope to meet you soon! Much love, Maximus/ Mowgli

Story
Beauty was found wandering all alone in Sweetwater, TN near the dump by a Good Samaritan who posted on Facebook in a lost and found group but no one came forward to claim her. :( Our animal control contact then reached out to us for help with this situation and connected us with the finder. At the time, the Monroe County shelter was over capacity and euthanizing on intake. When she arrived at woofwoof fosters it appeared something strange was going on with her eyes. Turns out, she had a condition called Entropion which caused her eyelashes/eyelids to grow inwards! We scheduled her for surgery ASAP as this can lead to blindness if left untreated! Beauty has since recovered from surgery and is now ready for adoption! She can be dog selective, particularly with other dominant females it seems. We plan to continue working with/testing her to further evaluate if she would be able to possibly live with another dog if their temperaments lined up or if she needs to be the only dog in the home. She would do best in a home without young children as she has a LOT of energy and not great body awareness. She loves to run and play and will require mental stimulation in her new home as well as frequent physical stimulation. We think some simple scent trail training or possibly snuffle mats may help meet her needs as we feel she is likely a hound mix with a curious snout! Per our vet, Beauty could potentially need ‘touch up’ surgery on her eyes down the line if they start to bother her again. This is not 100% guaranteed but we want to be sure we let potential adopters know that this could be a potential cost. She also has seasonal allergies which affects her eyes as well. During the spring/summer months, Beauty will likely need eye ointment to help with this, especially if she remains in East TN.
