Story
Winnie is a 1 year old Lab Mix.She loves to go to the dog park, go on walks, and also to be lazy and lounge around the house all day. She’s truly the best of both worlds. A dog who loves to go out and get some sun but also loves a stay home and relax kind of day.Winnie just needs someone to be looking to find a best friend in her. She is kennel trained and is house broken. Unfortunately we have to re-home her due to a career change that has no longer allowed us to give her the attention she deserves. With her adoption she will come with all the stuff she already has; kennel, food bowls, food, toys, and 2 month supply of flea and tick drops.

Story
Swiss Roll was picked up by Animal Control as a stray on Bonnie Avenue in Pasco, and honestly… she just might be one of the happiest creatures on planet earth. She is now spayed and ready to go home today!Swiss Roll currently weighs about 68 pounds and after spending time with her, staff is pretty convinced that if you looked up the definition of “joy,” her picture would pop up. This girl is BIG feelings in dog form. The second she’s out she turns into a wiggly, tippy-tappy, rolling-over-for-belly-rubs goofball who seems genuinely thrilled just to be included in whatever is going on. She walks well on leash and happily tags along beside you, stopping every so often to remind you she would also very much appreciate a snack. And treats? Swiss Roll is extremely passionate about treats. She already appears to know commands in both English and Spanish including sit and shake, and she gets so excited to show off what she knows. She’s also one of those dogs the camera instantly falls in love with because every expression she makes somehow looks adorable. One thing that really tugged at staff’s heartstrings was noticing that when a hand was raised simply to motion her closer, she flinched like she thought she might be in trouble. Despite that, she remains incredibly sweet, affectionate, and eager to connect with people. She also arrived with pink toenail polish on her toes which somehow makes this entire situation even sadder because clearly this was someone’s baby at some point. And now she’s here waiting for someone new to love her the way she deserves. When walking past barking or reactive dogs, Swiss Roll actually seems more shy and uncertain than confrontational. Since she was found as a stray, her history with other dogs or cats is unknown. Meet and greets are required with any dogs currently in the home to help ensure compatibility.Swiss Roll’s adoption fee is $50. She is spayed, microchipped, up to date on age-appropriate vaccines, and treated for fleas, ticks, and worms. Our shelter operates on a first-come, first-served basis. Holds, deposits, and pre-adoptions are not allowed. Animals may transfer to other shelters or rescues at any time.Swiss Roll is the kind of dog that makes people smile without even trying. Whoever adopts this big goofy sweetheart is going to end up with a best friend that loves with her whole entire heart.
