Story
Four-year-old Hank is one FANTASTIC canine! He's wonderful with cats, other dogs, and strangers, too. He's fine with children but needs a home with older kids (10+). He's not quite sure what to make of toddlers, they make him a little nervous. He might look energetic..... but don't be fooled! He's more of the couch potato type. He knows several commands sit, stay, down, shake, and gentle! What's not to love about this guy?! Really nothing (ok, full disclosure... Hank is a snorer!). But hey, no one is perfect, two-legged or four. Just wait until you meet him!! Increasingly, we are doing FOSTER TO ADOPT options! That’s where you and puppers make sure you’re a good fit for one another before signing on “the dotted line”….. it’s a win-win for everyone! Just ask your adoption counselor about how this works. IMPORTANT INFORMATION: Interested in adopting this or another POPP dog? Please complete our adoption questionnaire found at: https://www.popptricities.org/adopt/adoption-questionnaire-canine/ If you have any questions. please E-mail us at dogsadopt@popptricities.org. ADOPTION PACKAGES: Our puppy or dog adoption fee of $300 includes a lovable, non-judgmental canine companion, and a free vet exam. All dogs will be spayed/neutered, vaccinated, and microchipped prior to adoption. Your adoption fee helps support POPP and our spay/neuter efforts in the community to end overpopulation of cats and dogs.

Story
Born 9/12/22, Ruger is a male Labrador Retriever mix who is described as a gentle giant who weighs approximately 84 lbs. but thinks he's a 10 lb. lap dog! He loves plushies and according to his foster mom, he has the most gentlemanly manners as a house guest, he never leaves the seat up and goes outside every time 😉 He is well socialized and loves other dogs, however, some dogs can be intimidated by his size. Cats are unknown. His preferred forever home will have a secure 6 foot fence and a family committed to training him so he can become the best dog he can be. Due to his size, we recommend if there are kids in the home, over the age of 5. Applications: www.mikeyschance.com

Story
Are you up for some fun? This baby is a laugh a minute! Nugget is a happy, curious, smart, alert pup who has no intention of letting her rough start in life slow her down! HISTORY Nugget was part of an accidental litter whose mama died within days of her birth. The owners gave away most of the pups, and hand-raised Nugget until she was three weeks old, at which point they asked HART to find her a great home. She's been thriving in a loving foster home ever since. SOCIALIZATION She shares a home with a friendly human and a stream of visitors, as well as several adult dogs. She's friendly with any and every human she meets, as pushy as any puppy with the dogs, and young enough to learn to cohabitate safely with cats and other animals. Nugget is looking for a family where any kids are at least seven years old. She has sharp claws and needle teeth, and as she grows she's likely to be big, strong and clumsy, making her difficult for a small child to enjoy. She's probably also not a fit for an elderly person who is unsteady on their feet. TEMPERAMENT & BEHAVIOR Nugget is your typical puppy - playful, friendly, and snuggly whenever she's not fast asleep and growing. When her foster mom is busy she'll happily entertain herself with toys inside her pen, and when she's brought out to play she's a busy little explorer! She's in and out of everything, and intensely interested in whatever her humans are doing. Her favorite games include tugging blankets around the house, playing with the air blowing from the air conditioner vent, chasing ice cubes, and hoarding her toys in a pile. She also loves fetch and will bring toys back to you when you throw them. TRAINING Nugget is still a baby - she doesn't know ANTHING yet! Her foster mom is starting to teach her the basics - to come when called, potty training, certain commands like "drop it". She's also learning good manners - to sit for attention, and not to jump up on people. But teaching her all this will be an ongoing process, and she's looking for a family that will enjoy raising her to be a polite dog who is safe and pleasant to be around. It's important to remember that Nugget is a PUPPY, and puppies are HARD WORK! They chew things they shouldn't, they get into your stuff, they have accidents, they get underfoot, and they need an enormous amount of time and energy. Please don't apply to adopt Nugget unless you're sure you're up for the hard work of raising a puppy for as long as it takes! HEALTH Nugget has been vaccinated up to date, microchipped, and treated for internal and external parasites. All her available veterinary records will be provided at the time of adoption. She was born on May 5, 2025, and we expect her to weigh about 65-75 lbs when full grown. She is too young to be spayed, and spaying is a non-negotiable condition of adoption. She will be placed with an approved adopter on a foster-to-adopt basis, but the adoption will not be finalized until she has been spayed. ADOPTION Nugget's adoption fee is $425. For more pictures and updates about her, see her album on our Facebook page at https://www.facebook.com/media/set?vanity=HearthfireAnimalRescueTeam&set=a.1024455136502242 Please note that HART does not have a facility. Our dogs live in foster homes, and are not available to meet potential adopters until after their adoption application has been approved. If you are interested in adopting Nugget, please complete an adoption application at https://new.shelterluv.com/matchme/adopt/HAWA/Dog. Our application process includes an online background check, vet interview, landlord/property manager interview (if in rental property), and interviews with personal references, other adults living on the property, and the applicant. Depending on various factors we may require a home check. This process usually takes about one week to complete. Most of our dogs are located in the Tri-Cities, Washington area, and if necessary we will transport them anywhere within the Pacific Northwest, at the adopter's expense. We do not ship our dogs via a third party; they are handed directly from a trusted HART representative to the adopter.

Story
Born February 2020, Eclipse is a male Lab mix who was born blind with a purely cosmetic cleft palate. He has no issues eating, drinking or getting around. Eclipse is going to make some family a great companion - he loves people and especially kids. Eclipse's favorite things are snuggling up right beside his person and accepting some much wanted belly rubs! He's currently 45 lbs. and is still growing. He does best with dogs at least his size and kids over the age of 8. Cats are unknown. Eclipse is fully vaccinated, neutered and micro chipped. We know that very special person or family is out there for Eclipse because he has a whole lotta life to live! He may be special needs (trust us, he doesn't know it!), however like any other puppy he just wants to have fun and show unconditional love and devotion to his family. A securely fenced yard is a must. Applications can be accessed at www.mikeyschance.com
