Story
Hi I’m Dorothy, I’m an 8 year old lab/shepherd mix. I am current on my vaccines, (soon to be) heartworm tested, spayed, and microchipped.3 words that describe me: Calm, friendly, affectionate.Things staff and volunteers have to say about me: “Such a lovely old lady!” “She’s a happy-sweet tail-waggin girl“Activity level/Energy Level: (1-10): 3/10 I’m an old lady but still have some pep in my step!Housetraining Status: With a consistent routine, her foster says Dorothy is fully potty trained. (She’s old girl!)I should do well in a home: I’m looking for a calm, adults-only home where I can feel comfortable and secure. While young children can be a bit overwhelming for me, I may do well with other dogs if introductions are done slowly and I’m given time to settle in. I haven’t had the opportunity to meet any cats yet, so it’s unknown how I would do with feline friendsMy favorite activities are: I love to play outside! I like to explore and follow my nose!Things I need work on are: I need to lose some weight, and I do pull some on leashAny special needs: N/ADoggy day out notes: N/ADaycare Status: N/AMy adoption fee is: $250Training Requirement if applicable: N/A*If you are interested in adopting, please start by filling out an application available on our website and email it to us. https://www.couleehumane.com/adopt-an-animal

Story
Hi! My name is Aspen Rae. I am a 3 year and 8 month old, spayed Labrador retriever. I am microchipped, heartworm tested and current on my vaccines. 3 words that describe me: Goofy, curious, affectionate Things staff and volunteers have to say about me: “She loves all the attention”, “If you want to be best friends with her just give her some butt scratches!” Activity level/Energy Level: (1-10) 7/10 Housetraining Status: Good I should do well in a home: I should do well in a home with other dogs given proper introductions and time to adjust. I’ve never been around cats so my humans don’t know how I would be around them. I also would do well in homes with children of all ages, given proper adult supervision. My favorite activities are: I like to play with my toys. Balls and squeaky toys are my favorite. Things I need work on are: Basic commands (only knows sit), and leash walking (pulls some) Any special needs: None Doggy day out notes: None yet Daycare Status: I haven’t attended daycare yet, maybe some day. My adoption fee is: $300 Training Requirement if applicable: None *If you are interested in adopting, please start by filling out an application available on our website and email it to us. https://www.couleehumane.com/adopt-an-animal

Story
Hey there! I'm Saoirse. Don't worry--I don't know how to pronounce it either. Google Search isn't Dog-Paw-Compatible, but my human friends have decided on "Surr-Sha"Ask me how it feels to be hit by a car, it's my favorite story to tell at paw-ties! I like to brag about how quickly I bounced back. I went from limping to leaping in 5 short days! I'm ready to leap into your life and tell you all about it.I am current on my vaccines, heartworm tested, spayed, and microchipped!3 words that describe me: Happy, Goofy, and UniqueThings staff and volunteers have to say about me: "Saoirse is surprisingly chipper considering what she's been through. She won't hesitate to show you her favorite toys, which she prances around with and waits for compliments. She's so silly that she'll even try to fit multiple toys in her mouth!"Activity level/Energy Level: (1-10): 8/10Housetraining Status: Mostly housetrained, may need some time to adjust to the routine in a new home.I should do well in a home: With dogs and kids of all ages, given proper introductions. My friends here are unsure of how I would do with cats.My favorite activities are: Parading around with no less than two toys in my mouth, and running around outside (*Away* from the road, from now on)Doggy day out notes:Saoirse is the sweetest girl; her only goals in life are to play with toys and make new friends. She's a high energy lady, and she did pull on her leash pretty hard at first trying to greet everyone she saw. As the day went on she did pull less. She's very food motivated, and she will give you her undivided attention as soon as she hears the treat bag. She loves to pounce on her toys and prance around showing them off. Saoirse even snuggled up on my lap to relax after a little while."Things I need to work on: Basic Commands and housetrainingMy adoption fee is: $300*If you are interested in adopting, please start by filling out an application available on our website and email it to us. https://www.couleehumane.com/adopt-an-animal
