Story
Do you like puppies? Of course you do. Do you want to adopt a puppy? Of COURSE you do! Look no further than our boy, Harry. As far as puppies come, Harry may just be the most perfect of them all. He loves people, other dogs of all sizes, and carries himself with the goofiest, floppiest, most carefree demeanor that will have you audibly saying, "Awww!" Since we know you just want to jump straight into loving this guy without the extra steps, Harry is current on his vaccines, neutered, and microchipped. 3 words that describe me: Goofy, Happy, Curious Things staff and volunteers have to say about me: My friends like to tell me that I'm the smooshiest, squishiest, floppiest, and HAPPIEST little man. I'm not quite sure what they mean, but it might have something to do with the way they love to squish my cute little cheeks and wiggle my floppy puppy ears. Activity level/Energy Level: (1-10): 8/10, typical puppy energy! Housetraining Status: Working on it, but should have it down in no time with a consistent routine and lots of positive reinforcement. I should do well in a home: With kids and dogs of all ages given proper introductions. We're unsure how he would do with cats. My favorite activities are: Playing with toys and getting LOTS of attention. Things I need work on are: Housetraining, basic commands, and manners on leash. Doggy Day Out Notes: "Harry was truthfully amazing. Anyone who meets him falls in love with him. He loved hanging out around the house, being outside and being in the car. He has the perfect energy level - mellows out easily and picks up when playing. Is pretty good with sit commands, has some work to do in the leash but overall did very well." My adoption fee is: $350 Training Requirement if applicable: $100 *If you are interested in adopting, please start by filling out an application available on our website and email it to us. https://www.couleehumane.com/adopt-an-animal

Story
Life goals?? To have someone look at you the way Luna looks at a tennis ball or a stick… Lovable miss-Luna is as ready as ever to land herself a forever family of her own, and one that’s willing to play endless fetch would be her DREAM! Luna (female) is a 4 year old silver lab who joined the New Leash family in pretty poor physical condition due to some negligence + thyroid levels that cause hair loss & needed some medication/maintenance. Fast-forward to today…Luna is doing pretty incredible! Her previous foster family had shown her the unconditional love she’s never known, her fur is filling in nicely, and she is ready for a forever kind of love!   Luna's biggest obstacle is that she is dog reactive, so she needs to be the only pet in a home with a fenced yard.   Luna is currently in boarding and working on training, but really needs a home to call her very own.   More about Luna:  50lbs 100% potty-trained  crate-trained  a well-mannered girl who is a good listener!   LOVES car rides (copilot, anyone? )  will show off her tricks for some yummy treats!  affectionate & loving (kisses, cuddles, belly rubs…you name it! )  would play fetch all day, every day if you’d let her!   continuing to work on her leash etiquette (which she previously had no concept of), and is improving every single day!  ADORES her people! More about Luna’s home requirements:  A fenced-in yard would be her dream, because: 1. alllllll the fetch and 2. roaming + sniffing to her heart’s content!  Being the only dog would be ideal. Luna is your typical “covid dog,” so the socialization skills she should’ve received as a puppy are nonexistent. Her initial reaction is to become quite anxious around new dogs…so if she’s not the only dog in the home, she’d require a low-key, non-reactive 4-legged friend. She would also need to do several meet & greets with him/her prior to adoption! She continues to learn “how to dog” every single day. Luna can be anxious around younger kids.  So a home with kids 12+ is needed for this girl.  Luna is eligible for our foster-to-adopt program, so please reach out if you think she possibly sounds like a good fit for you. APPLY HERE: https://newleashdogrescue.com **Luna’s $200 adoption fee includes her spay, vaccinations, heartworm test, and microchip. ##1817860##

Story
Meet Autumn Autumn is a beautiful 2-year-old Lab mix who has been an amazing mama and is almost finished raising her six babies. Once her mom duties wrap up, this sweet girl is ready to focus on finding the loving furever home she deserves. Autumn is slowly learning to trust people and can be a bit timid and shy at first, but treats are the way straight to her heart. With patience and kindness, she warms up and becomes a loyal, gentle companion. Her overall temperament is calm and easygoing, making her a lovely presence in the home. She is crate trained and potty trained, and she walks fairly well on a leash. Autumn isn’t much of a barker—she only uses her voice appropriately, such as letting you know she needs to go potty while crated or alerting when someone comes to the door. Because she’s been focused on raising her puppies, Autumn has not yet had face-to-face dog introductions. She has also not been cat or kid tested yet, but those introductions will begin in the upcoming week. Adoption fee: $200This includes her spay, microchip, up-to-date vaccines, heartworm test, and a current vet check. If you’re pre-approved, please message us. Otherwise, you can apply to adopt Autumn at newleashdogrescue.com Autumn has spent the last chapter of her life caring for others—now she’s ready to be someone’s cherished companion. ##2601301##
