Story
Meet Little Woman! Little Woman, like her sibling Little Man, is not accustomed to domestic norms like walking on leash. So Little Woman needs a patient owner who is no stranger to unsocialized dogs. She just became available for adoption, so we have yet to temperament test her and see how she does with other dogs. However, she is very sweet as much as she is shy due to her being a sweet novice when it comes to socializing. If Little Woman sounds like the perfect match for you, come stop by and meet her today!

These pups are in Apple Valley, California too!

Gorgeous 1 yr old bassett mix (maybe some beagle) and 35 lbs.  Ears are shorter than a hound; body long and short legs bent in front.  Very friendly, energetic and loads of fun.  He adores people and is good with all other sizes of dogs.  One of our 'house hounds' who sleeps in doggie bed under my desk - or in my office chair next to my bed. ('My' would be 1992 founder Connie Kramer, who lives on site...our 16-acre sanctuary  Only using 9 acres at present; exciting doggie/people plans for remaining 7 acres. We update our website daily and are always rescuing, vetting, rehabilitating, socializing. Are you my furrever family? For further info on the adoption process, please visit our home page and check out the "Adopt a Dog" section, which has thorough instructions.  All our dogs are spayed/neutered, microchipped, and  fully vaccinated before adoption; they have been wormed, bathed, socialized, walked daily and much loved; each adoptee leaves with a leash, collar, and all medical records.   Our prices are higher than the shelters' because we nurse the dogs through their illnesses and get them needed surgeries and dentals. We also spend time socializing. Furthermore, unlike shelters, rescues do not get financial aid from the government and must rely on donations, grants, and adoption fees. Our fees for adults start at $150 and usually go up to $750. Young adults that are high in demand may be a little over $750.00. For puppies and purebreds, we charge up to $1000. The lower end is for dogs who have been here a while. The good news is that, because rescues fall under the "charity" category, the fees for our dogs are officially donations and are therefore tax deductible. You can think of it as donating to a worthy cause and getting a dog in return!  Sponsor Me Beagles & Buddies must find ways to raise money so we can continue saving dogs. Story
12 year old beagle/bassets, 25-30 lbs. Jack & Sofee (brother and sister) have been with one family their whole lives.  Family move to an apartment (no yard) and one-year old child have made for difficult living situation. Jack likes to play fetch with his bones and he is also very affectionate. Sofee walks good on the leash and likes getting affection.  The folks love these two seniors and want them to have a home where they can be their most comfortable. Hoping they will be re-adopted by their original family.  Cross your paws! Sofee is more social than Jack - he would do well to take CBD and/or Rescue Remedy.  A mix up with a big dog when he was young sort of traumatized him. Jack is on the blue blanket and Sofee is on the red one.  Sofee all beagle; Jack has some bassett w/ his beagle.  Very dear old timers. Jack has a Grade II heart murmur. No medical treatment needed at this time.*Note that young dogs and pure breeds are at the highest end of our prices.* Please find our applications and valuable information under  "Adopt a dog"* on our website:  *www.beaglesandbuddies.com* and email your application to beaglesandbuddies@gmail.com. Let us know your preference of appointment day/time and which dogs you are interested in and we will do our best to accommodate and email you the closest appointment available.
