Story
Meet Beau, a handsome 6-year-old black and tan Bloodhound with a heart as big as his ears. Beau is a stoic dog and a guardian to those around him. Beau is neutered, heartworm negative, and up to date on all vaccines. He weighs in at around 98lbs, and he’s house-trained. He can be crated, but crating isn’t required as he’s not destructive and doesn’t have any separation anxiety. He knows basic commands, walks well on a leash, and does great at the vet’s office. Beau really enjoys stuffies and squeaky toys and he LOVES the water. He enjoys going in the pool and splashing around. He loves the football too! He’s great in a car and enjoys a nice ride with the windows open and his ears flapping in the breeze. This guy wants to be your co-pilot. Bo has never been tested with cats, but he’s great with other dogs. He loves children and gets along wonderfully with women. We don’t know what happened in Bo’s past, but he is initially fearful of men. He will eventually warm up to them, but he is cautious at first. Beau would be fine in a home with or without other dogs, but he will require a fenced yard if he ends up in a house. His big need is for his new family to respect his boundaries and understand his needs. We want someone who gets that dogs who come through rescue aren’t perfect and that it takes him to decompress and trust. His foster has been great working with him on being able to trust men, and it’s going well. If this handsome hound has stolen your heart or you’d like to find out more about him - please fill out an adoption questionnaire at AllHoundRescue.org/adopt

Story
This is Banjo. He’s a 7 year old lemon & white basset hound who spent his life with one family, and is now looking for a soft place to land. He was surrendered because his family needed to move and couldn’t afford to take him. He’s around 55lbs, heartworm negative, up to date on vaccines and neutered. Banjo is also house trained and has been good with the other dogs and cat he’s being fostered with. Banjo is a slow burn. He takes a little time to warm up, and likes to do it at his own pace. When he trusts you, he will let it show by giving you kisses and requesting belly rubs. Banjo is a singer and he loves it when people sing to him. His favorite is the Birthday Song and if you start, he’ll accompany you as backup. He’s in the golden years of his life and he deserves a warm bed, a soft blanket, and to know that he is loved. If this special guy tears at your heart strings, please fill out an adoption questionnaire to connect with us. AllHoundRescue.org/adopt

Story
This is Roscoe and he’s looking for his forever family. When we pulled him from the shelter to he was underweight, full of worms, heartworm positive and generally worse for wear. These days, in the wonderful care of his foster Carla, he’s said goodbye to all those worms, and started gaining weight to bring him to a healthy size. Now, he’s ready for his next chapter. Roscoe is a black & tan bloodhound. He’s weighing in at over 70lbs, and will likely gain a bit more weight. He’s newly four (9/13/21), and full of love. He has a great temperament and loves to snuggle. He gets along well with people and other dogs. He hasn’t been tested with cats or chickens, so we can’t say for sure how he’d be in that area. He’s house trained, and crate trained. He actually eats in his crate and enjoys relaxing in there when the door is open. He rides well in the car, but his leash skills are a work in progress. Roscoe is looking for a home where he can play, relax, and just be a dog. He loves being outside but he’s also a snuggle bug to enjoys the comforts of the indoors. If this handsome hound speaks to your soul, please fill out an adoption questionnaire at allhoundrescue.org/adopt so we can get in touch. *Roscoe is still considered heartworm positive, but he is being treated for that as we speak. His treatment will continue to be completely covered by the rescue until he tests negative. Heartworms, when treated, are not a death sentence. He will not live an impaired life in any way.
