Say hello to sweet pickle! Don't let her silly name fool you she's as sweet as they come! Little pickle was found as a stray and has come a long way since then. We don't know much about her history but what we do know is she loves other dogs and she's great around small animals she doesn't pay any attention to the bunnies or squirrels in the yard, I know she's not very hound like she doesn't even bark. She loves to cuddle and do her zoomies around the house. We don't think Pickle was ever kept inside and teaching her house manners has been quite a process we are still teaching her how to come up on the couch like a little lady and how to go to the door when she needs to potty. However she is a wicked smart and has already learned how to crate and quite a few basic commands. Pickle would love to have a forever home of her own with a family that will continue her training with love and patience. This sweet girl deserves a second chance!

This is Lexi, a 2 year old, 30lb American Foxhound mix. She is spayed, microchipped, and up to date on vaccines and preventatives. Lexi is a moderately active dog who enjoys hiking, playing with toys, and her humans. She currently lives with seven other dogs ranging from 15lbs to 75lbs, and three cats. Lexi can be enthusiastic when meeting people and is working on not jumping. She is house-trained, crate-trained (she can occasionally be vocal in her kennel), and knows a variety of tricks. If you’re looking for a beginner sports dog, or an active companion who can just as easily chill in the house with you-Lexi is your girl. She has been started with disc and agility, likes chuck-it, and is very food motivated. Lexi is a lovely dog and we are taking our time to find her the best possible home.

If I could speak, what a story I would share... My name is Waggles, Wagity, or Wiggy Wiggy!I am an American Foxhound that ran with 3 other dogs in a rural area. I was the leader of my pack and always ensured the others safety, especially when crossing roads. In an effort to help us, we were trapped and fixed, but when it was time to release me back to the world I knew, I was actually not feral, and preferred a lap to surviving life day by day as a street dog. The family that helped me, couldn't keep me and reached out to HALO for help. Thankfully they said yes and kept me off the streets forever!During my spay, I tested Heartworm positive, so I am now seeking a home to care for me during my treatments. While I am timid, if you sit with me, you will win my trust and then the things that once terrified me will start to become ok and my bravery will start to show. After all I have been through, I am very brave after all. Please share to find me a home. Adopt or Foster, as long as I am continuing to get the love and trust building that I crave!I prefer pork with applesauce and peanut butter, no milk bones for this girl! I don't mind being alone, am very gentle, love attention and soaking up the sun, I make cute squeaking noises when you come home, and loud trucks scare me (the street life nightmares.)All of our dogs and cats are spayed/neutered, up to date with age appropriate vaccinations, heart worm or feleuk/FIV tested, fecal tested, rabies and tag, and microchipped before being placed in your home. Our adoption fee helps cover this cost.
