Story
This is our sweet old soul Jessie. She was found as a pregnant stray. She came to us and had her babies who have all been adopted. When Jessie arrived, she had an eye that was very nasty. After seeing the eye specialist, we opted to have the eye removed to prevent more issues in the future. Her other eye has vision, but it is not very great. Once she learns her environment you’d never know she’s missing an eye/has bad vision in the other. She’s on two eye drops for life. Jessie’s age test came back as 8 years old. Jessie, like any hound breed, LOVES her food. She’s also become quite obsessed with walks and she’s super easy on the leash. All of our dogs are spayed/neutered, current on vaccines, microchipped, dewormed and on flea/tick prevention. Puppies/dogs older than 3 months are on heartworm prevention. She also has so much love to give — she absolutely adores showering her people with affection and will happily lean in for pets and cuddles. She may be just a tiny bit timid at first, but give her a little patience and kindness and she warms up quickly, revealing her loving, loyal personality. Once she trusts you, she’s all heart. Dixie is an adorable 4 year old female Lab/Hound mix. She is spayed, microchipped, up to date on vaccinations and housebroken. Dixie weighs 45 pounds and knows basic commands. She enjoys riding in the car and is eager to please, a very sweet dog who thrives from the attention she is getting. She loves water and will make a great loving companion. Lady Luck Animal Rescue saved her from Palm Beach Animal Care & Control on 1/21/26. She has been in a foster home in Lake Worth with 2 adults and 3 young children. She was found as a stray on 11/17/25 and sat in the shelter for 2 months before we rescued her. In the months that we have had her, she has proven to be the most lovable, playful and eager to please houseguest. She absolutely loves the children, she greets them every morning with toys and butt wiggles to start their day. She loves playing fetch and splashing on the pool deck; she can swim too! She is a fun dog, she does need a fenced yard or an active adopter to get her zoomies out. She is well behaved and does not need to be crated when you leave the home. She is fully potty trained, she enjoys car rides and is wonderfully behaved to take to lunch and outdoor events. She is just an adorable, velvety girl! She is good with other dogs, not cats. Jasmine is spayed, microchipped, up-to-date on vaccinations and preventatives. If you are interested in adopting Jasmine, please fill out our Adoption application.
