Janie loves being outside, playing with other dogs, and isn’t shy about using her voice when she’s excited. After playtime, she’s happy to curl up for a good nap. Like most puppies, she’s still learning what’s okay to chew, so lots of toys and a watchful eye will help her keep making great progress. This year and a half sweet boy was a working hunting dog to start. Adopted out to a family in my neighborhood that could not care for him. He was crated all day and starving. I had someone that was going to take the dog, so they let me re-home him. That fell through and I have been fostering for 3 weeks. He gets along great with my kids and my dog and sleeps in a crate in my bedroom at night. We keep him on the patio during the day while we work. He has not had any accidents in the crate overnight and just a couple on the patio due to me. I've not tried him in the house full time because my dog wants to play non-stop and will not settle down. He's very loving and can see right into your soul when he looks at you. He deserves a forever family, especially after the last 5 months of starving in a concentration camp crate!

He’s potty trained, crate trained, heartworm negative, and current on flea, tick, and heartworm prevention. Trooper absolutely loves other dogs and enjoys having canine friends around to play with. He’s a goofy, food-loving guy who gets excited for meals, playtime, and spending time with his people. Despite being a hound, he has shown very little interest in squirrels or rabbits running nearby. Trooper can be sensitive to unfamiliar noises and sudden sounds. Things like sliding glass doors, air conditioners turning on, or men’s voices outside can startle him, so he’ll need a calm, patient home where he can continue building confidence and feeling safe. Because of this, he would do best in a women-only home and is not recommended for homes with children.
